Small Radley bag - am I mad?

this one
I know they are like marmite on here but I like some of them, and I am tempted by this in the sale. What do you think?
Or this slightly bigger one I think the first is nicer, but possibly too small. Or maybe I should just, not go there.

Both are lovely think the bigger one might be more practical though

MoaningMinnieWhingesAgain · 25/01/2012 23:17

Yes, I don't really travel light...the smaller one is cuter somehow as if I need any more bags anyway FFS

if i had to buy one it would be the second one.

JoantheFennel · 26/01/2012 07:46

Those styles are so ubiquitous. Is go for one of their more unusual designs.

serotoninbutterfly · 26/01/2012 07:49

Go to an outlet village (like Bicester Village) they have a Radley there - much cheaper! Grin

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 26/01/2012 08:27

Not keen on either tbh.

I have had Radley in the past and found the quality not to be great for the money. Also even the bigger one is not that big, not big enough for me anyway. I used to have to shoe horn all my stuff in and when I pulled one thing out, everything came outGrin

SimoneD · 26/01/2012 09:27

Don't go there! Have never understood why grown women would want a bag with little doggies hanging off it. Hate them.

MonaLotte · 26/01/2012 09:40

I like the first one. However if you carry a lot of stuff this may not be the bag for you. I had a medium one a few years ago and when I crammed it full had things in it, it looked quite bulky. They do do a large bag in that style.

BettyBathroom · 26/01/2012 09:49

The dog is hideous!

If I had to get one -I'd go bigger.

MoaningMinnieWhingesAgain · 26/01/2012 09:54

Seems fairly unanimous - it's a no. I have got 2 picture bags already but my budget has shrunk. And I have got a lovely brown leather bag, not yet used, plus a lovely big Scaramanga satchel, not yet used.

DH's My wallet thanks you, anyway.

The second one is better imo but I much prefer the plain version of the across the body bag. The smaller ones are very small though. I have the large version and wouldn't want it to be smaller. I chopped the dog off btw! Grin

They always look like they're designed for young teenagers, not grown women.

valiumredhead · 26/01/2012 11:03

God, no teenager would be seen dead with one! That's why I like mine, great leather and practical. I have to say I ONLY like my one though, I don't like any other styles.

QueenCadbury · 26/01/2012 13:03

I LOVE radley bags but I find this particular style not very useful unless you are only wanting a bag for small flat things. As someone else said once you put too much in they look all bulky.

MoaningMinnieWhingesAgain · 26/01/2012 13:33

Arf @bag for small flat things

Maybe not. Actually, my Mum Purse alone would probably fill it. Or not fit in at all.
