In my quest to sort out my skincare and makeup, I have bought several of the Beauty Bible books by Josephine Fairley and Sarah Stacey.
I have completely given up reading any advice or reviews in womens magazines, because I just don't believe the hype and can't afford most of the products that are being plugged. It's all about the advertising sales at the end of the day...
I love the Beauty Bible books and they seem, on the surface, to be a sensible alternative, but... I'm very suspicious that there seem to be just a handful of brands that they both keep banging on about (Liz Earle mostly!). Are they just doing the same thing, in a slightly more palatable format? Or are they GENUINELY testing across the market?
