30F bras

So, I just went and got fitted at Bravissimo after having an inkling for a while that I was wearing the wrong size bra. I've gone from being a 34DD to a 30F. I'm looking at a few websites now, but it would seem I'm back into ridiculous bra size territory again (as it was a few years ago wearing 34DD, but shops caught up eventually). Any pointers? I can find a few bras on the M&S website, but that seems to be about it!! Ta!

Figleaves has a good range (32G here, I feel your pain!) also the bravissimo online site. Fantasie is a brand that does a great range of sizes and Freya.

KristinaM · 22/01/2012 11:22

I wear 30ff and buy from bravissimo. If i find a style that suits i can soemtimes get it onnline from figleaves etc in a sale or on ebay. I am obviously a strange shape as many bras my size dont fit me, so i only buy online when ive tried it on in RL

I dont understand why you didnt just buy one from bravissimo when you were fitted?

MooMinCow · 22/01/2012 11:27

Try an outlet site like Brastop.com. they sell a lot of branded lingerie for less, best if you know what style and brand fits you, otherwise you may have to order loads!

HazleNutt · 22/01/2012 11:56

I would recommend ebay too, can find bargains there. currently it has 1400 size 30F bras available.

MrsSchadenfreude · 22/01/2012 12:02

Get yourself to John Lewis if you are in London - they had racks of lovely Freya bras half price in there yesterday, all 30 back size and E/F/G cup. I had to pay full price for my 38F. Envy

Theas18 · 22/01/2012 12:11

If you know the style go to eBay and search. Dd2 only really fits 1 style of bra and is even further into small back/ big cup territory that you !
She had 1 neutral coloured bra from bravissimo and 2 ( half the price) new off eBay in last years pretty colours. No issue with fit either as they are they same bra obviously !

SantieMaggie · 22/01/2012 12:15

asda or debenhams are quite good for larger bra sizes

Grumpla · 22/01/2012 12:16

I recommend Freya! I'm a 32E and they have a good range of 30&32 back sizes in larger cups.

Dollydowser · 22/01/2012 12:59

If you have been for a fitting at Bravissimo, did you not find that some styles suited your shape better than others? Its not as simple as just buying that size in any make bra and it fit. 2 bras the same size but different makes will look very different on you. For example, Panache suit me, Freya doesn't.

lop37 · 22/01/2012 13:53

If you have a TJ hughes near you, they have bargain branded bras in odd sizes like yours! I am 32 e and could always manage to find bras for under a tenner...wonderbra triumph etc!

catmadcaz · 22/01/2012 17:02

Hi mrschardenfreude which John lewis Oxford St or Brent cross

TwllBach · 22/01/2012 17:45

I've just been on the fig leaves website and there's a huuuuge sale on there Grin

ameliameerkat · 22/01/2012 20:12

Thanks to everyone for the replies!

Ooh, I'd forgotten about brastop.com, I'll check that out.

So far I know that Panache t-shirts bras fit well, so I found two on ebay for much cheaper than the one I bought at Bravissimo! (£26 at Bravissimo!) I need to go and try on some different brands and styles to see what else is good, before shopping around to find them a bit cheaper.

I went to a big Marks and Sparks this afternoon and in the huge underwear section would you like to guess how many 30F bras there were??

  1. And 2 of them were the white & black version of the same style. And neither of them fitted. There were another 2 or 3 styles that existed in my size but they weren't in stock. Their DD Plus range starts at a 32, and the ranges that start at a 30 stop at a DD. Not very helpful!

At least I have a sports bra that fits for the Burns night & ceilidh I'm going to on Wednesday - that would not be a pleasant experience otherwise!

Two of my dds are 32F and they both wear Panache.....I look around online as Bravissimo just charge the full whack. Steer clear of M&S would be the best advice anyone can give!

fossil97 · 23/01/2012 00:36

Bravissimo sale, or ebay /online shops once you know the style and size. Debenhams stock a lot of the same range, Freya, Panache, Fantasie etc. But tbh better a small collection of bras that fit than a drawer full that are not quite right. Especially when you are a small back size and probably narrow shoulders too.

Izpie · 23/01/2012 01:06

30G here. John Lewis & House of Fraser do Freya & fantasie, otherwise online at figleaves, bravissimo, brastop.
