Which is THE mn scarf?

I wanted to buy a grey one but there are loads on eBay now. I know the one everyone was discussing was about a tenner but there are some even cheaper there now. Will they be the same scarf?

(Can't believe I'm asking about quality of a 4.99 scarf versus an 8.99 one!)

Which one do I need??!

I have had one for over 2 years now, it used to be very unusual, shame it's now the MN scarf. Good to know I'm a trendsetter tho, and it does go with loads of things. I love a bit of leopard print me.

I love mine, (black one that followthevan linked to) fortunately I live in the arse end of nowhere and haven't seen anyone else wearing one. Saw LOTS on a recent visit to the nearest big city though!

What is the MN scarf?

anniewoo It's a scarf that somebody posted about a few months ago, which turned into a 500 post thread where it seemed that everyone bought one (I have the leopard print and love it!). I believe people now give each other knowing 'mumsnet' nods when they see someone in real life wearing one.

I've had mine aaaaages and never seen another person wearing one.

Melted must be one of those people who are fortunate enough to be able to afford bespoke, tailor-made clothes that no one else in the whole wide world has. Lucky thing!

I have had mine for months and I have only ever met two people with the MN scarf -a friend of a friend has got the classic leopard print one and a mum at DS's school has the grey one and uses it as a hijab-type scarf.

I live in London with 10million odd other people, so it cant be that common.

So what do I search for on eBay to get one of these? MN scarf?

Can I ask all you scarf officionados - what is the best way to wear one, if one has no neck to speak of? Or should they be avoided by the neckless? Thank you.

I hav ethe grey leopard print one and also a pink/black one with a floral design on it. I wear them all the time a lot. I live in the middle of nowhere though so haven't seen anyone else wearing one

Nothing to do with wanting designer or tailor made scarves and everything to do with the fact that everyone is following the fashion (sheep) of animal print scarves. There are so many pretty colourful scarves out there why would you all want to wear the same ones?

I have a skull patterned scarf which MIL got me again. I have only seen one other person wearing one.

i got the purple one, to try and get some colour into my wardrobe (but honestly wish i'd got the grey).

MrsMeow - really. This one MIL got me is quite nice usually she buys me right old womany stuff it is black with white nad grey skulls on it. it's not very long though

Your scarf sounds lovely! Alexander McQueen started the trend for skull scarves here and then they hit the high street. I bought a copy off eBay (because I couldn't justify £200+ on one!) but like yours, its a bit short. That's the main reason I love the MN one, it's really long!
