mine is the roebuck one - i will save it for meals out etc i think. ive got a pic of me in mine on my profile - i was only trying it on but had bare legs with tan peep toe platforms.

it is possible i think that you could wear it with brown or coloured tights and possibly boots, or brown shoes- not tried that though.

ideally i wanted the black one but it had sold out in my size in the sale so i got the roebuck one.

its gonna be my going out dress i think.

ThatVikRinA22 · 21/01/2012 15:41

(you know it was in the GP sale dont you? £26.50.)

Sparklegeek · 21/01/2012 16:29

I'm going to be wearing my (roebuck) one to dinner at a girls' spa weekend next Sunday, my son's First Communion in May & my step-Mum's 60th in May. Also if DH makes me out for a meal for my 40th! (Have a more 'wow' dress lined up for actual party :) ) So I am definitely going to get a good cost-per-wear ratio going! Planning on nude tights/bare legs plus nude heels.

Sparklegeek · 21/01/2012 16:29

Takes me out, NOT makes me out!

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 21/01/2012 19:19

I bought these to wear with my roebuck today.

NannyPlumIsMyMum · 21/01/2012 19:34

Oo Vicarina I wanted the black one too.
Am just wondering how and if it is possible to layer with it , as I have a chronic illness that makes me very intolerant of the cold .
The thought of cap sleeves and bare legs makes me shudder as the cold would make me corn beefy Grin.

Do you think the roebuck one would look alright with flat shoes?
I am rubbish with heels and am going to a wedding on a beach so think heels would be wrong anyway. Also going to a christening and its soon so will be cold. Would cardie be any good? If so what colour. Also could I wear opaques with it. Just a couple of issues then. Think I might send the bloody thing back and stick to my usual black stuff!!

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 22/01/2012 14:34

I've banned myself from buying anything black this year.

Sparklegeek · 22/01/2012 15:20

Is that black opaques & heels with the roebuck one? Does that look OK? Really? Would make my life easier but I never would have put the two together?

snowmaiden · 22/01/2012 15:25

I wore mine last night for a night out in town which included pizza and a few wine bars. I wore it with dark brown opaque tights, long brown high heeled boots, and my panacotta princess coat.

Also have some brown suede heels that look good with it.

In the spring will wear it with nude shoes and tights.

I wouldn't wear my roebuck one with black tights or shoes.

SarahLundsNewJumper · 22/01/2012 17:38

No wouldn't wear it with black opaques. Just brown and some brown shoes but would flat look OK?? I am crap at heels. Look like a man in drag trying to walk!!!

Nevergarglebrandybutter · 23/01/2012 13:52

i have the black dress though!
my shoes are wedge heeled suede black booties. really simple looking.

Sparklegeek · 23/01/2012 13:58

Oh yes, the black one would be far easier to shoe up with! I do really love the brown, but it's a pain cos I don't have any other brown clothes so don't want to pay much for some shoes to match.
