70`s outfit needed!!

Hi I am going to a 70s disco in a couple of weeks, its to raise money for The National Brain Appeal following my lovely friend recently having a brain tumour removed. All the girls are dressing up like Abba, I cannot as I am not as slim as they are!!Any ideas please for an inexpensive 70s look?

Flares.
A bat winged huge sleeved top in bright colours (can't spell pyschodelic)

Platforms if you can walk in them.
Big curly wig

Bright blue sparkly Biba style eyeshadow

What size/shape are you? How much do you want to spend?

What about a punk look? They were around in the 70's.

I went to a similar themed party recently and the 'best dressed' person there was in a Boy George outfit and he looked fantastic!!

Size...............er a generous size 16, I am almost 6ft and do have very long legs!

That's a shame, have you tried putting vintage maxi dresses into eBay search ? Or alternatively you could go as one of Charlie's Angels - flares, checked shirt, platforms, flicky hair.

( obviously all my suggestions reflect my own views on fancy dress - that it's a chance to go glamour- mental and not an excuse to wear a comedy wig, so apologies for that )
