Blusher help!

SparkySparrow · 20/01/2012 18:46

Can anyone recommend a good blusher? One that can be used every day and not make me look like a barbie doll?
I have very pale skin and blonde hair. Three people told me today that I looked tired/ill (I'm not!) . I haven't worn any since mine ran out a week ago (very cheap and nasty-reluctant to buy it again) .

Preferably under £7ish?
Please help! :)

I would recommend Bourgois. The colour I wear is 'Rose de Jaspe' - pale pink with a little shimmer. About £6 I think, but one pot lasts me 12 months - ditch the poxy little brush that comes with it though!

Boots Natural Collection ones are about 1.99 and really quite good for the price. Otherwise, I'm currently loving Benetint but it is much more than 7 pounds, sadly.

I use NARS Sex Appeal and it's lovely, a nice soft pink that just gives a bit of colour. Looks natural and pretty.

MadameCastafiore · 20/01/2012 19:03

NARS Orgasm - is brill - read somewhere that it suits everyone and I have used it whilst veing blonde and dark.

Give you a wide awake look.

DeeDee1977 · 20/01/2012 19:04

Oops but NARS isn't under £7 - sorry! Bourgois are lovely, used them and very happy but can't remember the name of the colour I had.

QuinnFabray · 20/01/2012 19:14

Natural Collection 'Pink Cloud' is a good dupe for Benefit Dandelion, a lovely natural pale pink.

ScaredyDog · 20/01/2012 19:36

I've just found an old Natural Collection bronzer in my make up bag, it's lovely and cost about £2. Think I might buy a few more bargain NC bits on the weekend!

SparkySparrow · 20/01/2012 19:44

I think I might have a look at Boots NC ( can't go wrong for a few pound :) ). Failing that maybe Bourgois.
Thanks for your help. :)

def go for a pale pink no with blonde hair. i like bourgoious ones...

Raffiiscool · 20/01/2012 20:09

dont go down the orangy bronzer route. go pinky that is best for blonde and fair

HandMini · 20/01/2012 20:27

There's Benetint, which I love and can be worked up for a more rosy look or just used very lightly. I now it's over your budget, but Boots or Superdrug do an own-brand version which many people have raved about on here

DonaAna · 20/01/2012 20:31

Chanel's Joues Contraste in Rose Ecrin is my HG. I'm a very pale cool-toned blonde and most blushers make me look like a clown (Bourjois and Benefit for example) or are too terracotta. Try it on at the counter before committing.

suebfg · 20/01/2012 20:33

Another vote for Bourjois - I'm pale too

DonaAna · 20/01/2012 20:36

Sorry, Chanel is not under £7. I've had difficulties in finding light enough shades in budget ranges, but try Bourjois Rose d'Or (gave it to my daughter). Get a decent brush too to avoid the 80s type slash.

SparkySparrow · 20/01/2012 20:44

Raffiiscool I'm defiantly going to stick with blusher! Iv'e tried bronzer, it looks like I have mud on my face. Grin I have finally embraced the pale skin!

Get a gel / sheer blusher stick in pink.
I use bobby brown, but boots no7 do a sim one.

ameliagrey · 20/01/2012 22:44

I find all of Bourjois much too bright and I am pale.....

L'Oreal are okay, and Boots 17.

I tend to use Clinique or Laura mercier is nice but Nars is supposedly king of the blush.

mamalovesmojitos · 20/01/2012 22:46

Yes, the boots natural collection blush is nice and won't break the bank.

ILoveApples · 22/01/2012 18:00

I'm a pale faced golden blonde and can recommend Rimmel Pink Rose 004. It's a warm pink powder that looks very natural on, as if I've been on a long walk. I'm on my 3rd pot now so it can't be that bad and it's relatively cheap too!

LesserOfTwoWeevils · 22/01/2012 19:53

I have a Nyx blusher which is a duplicate of Nars Orgasm & is called Tickled. It cost me the equivalent of £4.50 (am not in UK).
It's a peachy sheer cream blush with a little shimmer, one of those shades that just about anyone can wear, and you can layer it to build up the colour. I love it.
