Riding boots

As in knee-high boots without a zip, I barely know one end of a horse from the other there is now way I am going to get on one.
Anyway, does anyone have any or have any recommendations for any and do they not get a bit welly-like round the ankle?

I got black patent leather ones from m&s £60 in the sale.

Thanks, I hadn't realised that they could be relatively cheap as the ones I saw and fell in lust with were ??? (sorry, no pound sign, but you get the idea).
Do they tend to bag at the ankle?
I wouldn't mind paying a bit more for a really good pair if I thought that there were going to last; my knee-high boots need replacing as the leather is almost worn through but they have made such a difference to wearing dresses and I might brave the skinny jeans tucked in look at some point.
