Oooh I bought some of this years ago, it was absolutely fantastic, great for the summer when you want a lighter foundation but still gave good non shiney coverage. I tried the Clinique one afterwards and it was nowhere near as good, hmm must get some more.

Casablancagirl · 20/01/2012 10:25

I used to wear it ALL the time and it was great, until I realised I could save a stack of cash and there were better ones available at a better price....The only premium brand I would touch with a bargepole now is MAC, and no I don't work for them....

It's great stuff, I particularly like the illuminating one for a dewy glow. They're doing a deal at the moment where for £40 you get double the amount in a new bonus bottle - was in JL on Wednesday and they had it. Annoyingly, I bought a new tube only a week earlier.

tryingtoleave · 20/01/2012 11:05

What better ones??? Not fair not to give details.

tryingtoleave · 20/01/2012 11:06

I thought the illuminating one just made me look shiny. I like the normal one though.

Karbea · 20/01/2012 11:10

Hello,

I use this everyday, but although I think it's ok, I don't think it's great, I'm sure there are better options out there so interested to hear peoples views.

Figgyrolls · 20/01/2012 11:13

I like mine, but I think it has changed slightly (or more likely my skin has!) and although I find it brilliant I think I might need a tad more coverage. However it was very good and it did last a long time.

therumoursaretrue · 20/01/2012 11:38

I think it's one of the best tinted moisturisers on the market, I have tried several in the course of my job and really like the laura mercier one. Good coverage compared to a lot of others.

polyhymnia · 20/01/2012 11:44

I think it's excellent - I use the 'normal' one, not the oil-free or the illuminating, which I agree is too shiny all over and only good for highlighting.

Have tried others but always come back to Laura Mertcier or to Becca's equivalent. Well worth the money - wouldn't swap it for a cheaper brand. And the tube does last well because I don't use much.

Don't think much of MAC myself but it might be fine for young, more oil-prone skins.

polyhymnia · 20/01/2012 11:44

Mercier!

The3Bears · 20/01/2012 13:05

Thanks for your views everyone, will be making a trip to john lewis to get it then, cant wait.

A late additional positive vote for the Mercier product. i think it's very good - the best tinted moisturiser i have used in fact.

Casablancagirl · 20/01/2012 15:27

I am 45 and am lucky to have normal skin, no real lines, no oil. I did do Laura Mercier, have also done Lancome Illuminatory (?) one. I have ended up with a combination of base of Clarins Beauty Flash Balm, L'Oreal Blemish Balm Tinted Moisterisor (?) and Rimmel Matt Powder. Looks totally natural, no touch up even after 8 hours in the office. Costs a lot less....

chipstick10 · 20/01/2012 16:05

The colours dont work for me. Either to pale, too pink, or too dark. Best tinted moisturiser imo is Mac.
