Spots on back

:-(
I've never had them before but am going for some blood tests this week as I am tired all the time etc
Every time I get rid of some spots more appear. Red, angry ones that are scarring
What can I use? And what could be causing them?

Hormonal? I used to get outbreaks like this pre-children, although haven't had one since, so think was all down to hormones. I used Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Body Spray www.clinique.co.uk/product/1626/5761/Anti-Blemish-Solutions-Body-Spray/index.tmpl - it works well, although does dry your skin so I wouldn't use it too often, maybe every day to clear spots then every couple of days as a preventative?
Hope it's nothing serious.

I'm not being flippant but zinyert is usu the only thing which gets rid of it, works quickly and any driness soon goes

I'm not sure how severe yours are but I had a problem with this when I came off the pill last year. The spots were quite large, red and angry.

I started using an anti-blemish face wash by Clean and Clear on my back in the shower instead of normal shower gel, putting it on gently and leaving it for 5 minutes before rinsing.

I was really surprised - that kind of face wash has never worked on my face - but it seemed to work within a few weeks and I haven't had any problems since.

Blush I have just come off the pill and didn't even connect it!
They're just doing a full blood count, thyroid check etc so will see what comes back
I have some quinoderm which works well on my face but whether I can reach Grin

Thats a brilliant tip re the Clinique product. I occasionally get these spots and have done for years. I didnt know others got them too, never mind there was a proper product for clearing them. Thanks OP for bringing this up and nearlytherenow for the tip.

The scarring is another matter and I would never be able to wear anything with a low back:(

MaeMobley · 20/01/2012 22:26

does anybody know why back spots leave scars?

Singingahappytune · 22/01/2012 19:49

I think it might be to do with the fact that faces get more sunshine and therefore a good turnover of skin. I've always been convinced that if I lived in a sunny climate wearing strappy tops/halternecks for more than a few days a year my scars would be a lot less noticeable.
