So we have a wedding to go to in Berlin at the end of April www.schloss-hoppenrade.de/ and I fancy a new outfit, any suggestions?

Do you need some more info?

I'm 5'5 with big boobs and a size twelve.

www.coast-stores.com/LETTY-DRESS/All-Sale/coast/fcp-product/2143412588 and this is something I already have. I do like coast but fancy a change. Can anyone help?

Hi - I'm pretty sure I've been to the same place for a wedding! Lovely venue. We were there in the summer and the couple got married outside and everyone MELTED, but you're going in April so that shouldn't be a problem. I wore a purple Coast dress and it was perfect for the occasion. One thing that struck me was the German womens' sensible approach to footwear - no silly teetering around in agonising heels for them! I ended up taking mine off! Have a great time :)

I quite like that next one! Good price, too.

This one?

I like the green daisy Lowe one.

Willabywallaby · 27/01/2012 12:26

So I've ordered the blue coast one with the shoes and cuff!

OP posts:
Willabywallaby · 09/02/2012 13:17

So the blue dress wasn't a very good fit around the bust, the bracelet was damaged and I didn't like the shoes.

So back to the drawing board.

Any thoughts on dresses with a print pattern?

Willabywallaby · 11/02/2012 15:38

I like the print one but not sure about the neckline with my ample bosom.

I did like this one

and the black and pink

Hi, we got married at a little Schloss near Berlin, a bit like the one you've mentioned, and it's worth pointing out that Germans, especially Berliners, are MUCH more relaxed about clothing than the Brits. We had German friends turning up in casual jeans, t-shirts etc, whereas the British guests went all out on suits, floral dresses, fascinators etc. So please don't feel the need to dress too formally, especially if there are very few British guests coming. And people will just (secretly) laugh at you if you wear anything ridiculously impractical or unsuitable for the weather.

Willabywallaby · 11/02/2012 15:49

She's been working over here for years so I'm not sure what the brit/german split will be. The groom is of Indian descent so I would think his Mum will be wearing a sari...

Hobbs

Beautiful DVF

Willabywallaby · 11/02/2012 16:37

The Hobbs one reminds me of 70s carpet, the other is taking it's time downloading. But I do appreciate the suggestions, my natural sense of style is pants.

I'm considering wearing the coast dress I have and splurging on nude LK Bennett shoes and some gold accessories. I wore it with black at Christmas but a much more stylist friend thought gold.

The DVF is £227.

Berlin wears black IME, whatever the occasion. Just wear what you want. People don't tend to care too much how other people dress and they are more into flashy than classy, in terms of understated elegance (if it bothers you how others find your outfit that is).

HerRoyalNotness · 11/02/2012 17:05

Lk Bennett sledge in nude are on sale at the moment. I'd recycle a dress you have already, with new accessories, no one would have seen it before
