Boots have stopped selling No7 mineral perfection powder....what to do, what to do?

Imagine my shock and dismay when the lady in boots told me they have stopped making Mineral Perfection.

What powder foundation should I switch to? I don't to go super expensive but not cheap and nasty either. And nothing gimicky. I hate being fussed over at the makeup counters, so someone please help me make a painless transition.

I found that foundation too dark for me, even the palest colour

I'm a big fan of Bare Esscentuals now. If you buy from QVC you can try and send back within 30 days if you dont like

I was gutted when I found this out in December and have since switched to Avon. It's ok, a bit of an orange shade for me but can't seem to find one which matches as well as No 7

Tooblunt - the sales lady did say to me "quite a few people are upset, so they might bring it back"

Would love it if they did bring it back - the sales lady in ours simply said 'they do that!' when I asked why!

Elizabeth Arden Pure Finish - it's a mineral powder with a little grindy thing in the base of the pack. Lovely, not too "powdery", lots of shades.

I was gutted when No7 stopped doing the mousse foundation I was gggrrrrrrrr at having to find a new one. Now I use double wear and will never look back :)

That was my Summer Foundation, if you mean the one you get with the big brush that you dot on your face and blend in?

One of the best i've ever tried, so nice and light for summer!

I use super balanced by clinique in winter, i think they do a powder foundation, and clinique make up is amazing! However, i have heard amazing things from double wear...

Is double wear No 7?

Another vote for bare escentuals.

No, its Estee lauder, its a bit more expensive than the No7, but if you go to a counter they'll give you a sample, i have hundreds of samples.

Ok took myself off to a Bare Escentuals today to be "colour matched" ...add that to my list of MN induced purchases.

Seems like nice foundation, I do hate all that crap they have to tell you about nutrients and active rare soil minerals and fairies tears - it's embarrassing.

What did you think of the Bare Essentials?
Its quite expensive isn't it? Worth the money?

I use Bare Essentials too and I love it. A pot lasts for ages.

I find you only need to use a tiny bit and the coverage is still great. It also stays there for most of the day. I started using it because I kept getting outbreaks of spots.
I tried everything-new cleanser/moisturiser/less chocolate but it was only when I changed my foundation that the breakouts stopped.

The No.7 lady at my store told me today that the Mineral Perfection powder foundation will be available online ONLY from the end of February, and ONLY in New Ivory as that was the most popular shade. Fortunately, that's the one I have, but it stinks we're going to have to stump up to get it posted to us from now on!

Minimax - If you spend I think it's £20 you can have free delivery to store, so you could wait and buy some day to day stuff as well and get it delivered locally?

Thanks for that Minimax as that's my colour! Never buy from Boots online so wouldn't even have thought to look there!
