Will black tights and shoes look ok with a purple dress?

I have a dark purple/aubergine coloured dress from monsoon.

Thinking of wearing it to a wedding next week and would like to wear tights from a warmth perspective.

Will black be ok?

I suspect nude shoes and bare legs would look better but it's too cold!

If you're worried that black might be too "heavy" looking, you could try those holey pattern vintagey style tights.

Yes I was worried about it looking heavy so that may be a good, and warmer, solution.

Hope so as that's what I'm wearing with a purple dress of mine. I did consider those patterned/holey things but I remember wearing them as a teenager thinking I looked like the best thing ever so not sure I can do it again so will stick to my opaques
