Is it too early for a Bikini/Swimsuit thread?

We are going away for a spa weekend in March for which I will need a swimsuit/bikini. I have always had tankinis previously and like the tummy coverage they give me but having lost a bit of weight recently, I am feeling (possibly) brave enough for a bikini.

I have been looking online at the usual suspects (Next, M&S, Debenhams etc) and all the bikini tops are so...booby! I am a D-cup and really don't need them pushing up/enhancing/projecting/rounding any more than that thank you. Also we are going away with (men and women)friends later in the year and so would want decent coverage for then rather than 'check out my assets'.

Any tips on what style/shops to look at before I go and try lots on then cry about how awful I look and invest in a black binliner instead?

TIA

try Bravissimo, Figleaves, Brastop. You should check out brands for busty women, the ones that start their sizes with D, not end with it. Way less padding and pushing. I personally love Freya swimwear - you can also try ebay.

Thanks Hazlenutt, I have just ordered a hundred a couple of bikinis off there including 2 Freya ones so I will see how they come up for size.

Thanks!

I have not worn a bikini for a few years now, but judging from the way some of my knickers fit I could get away with one if the bottoms were more substantial than teeny but not "big pants" style. My body is OK apart from a crepey bit on lower abdomen.

I would definately recommend figleaves as you can order by bra size. If you order quickly the sale is still on.
