Question about Dior foundation

I wanted a refill for my Diorskin nude compact but couldn't see it on Debenham's website or on display in store. The Dior person was on her lunch break so someone else served me and sold me something called Dior Forever which looked similar.

It just about fits into the compact but when I went to try it earlier, it's a powder rather than a cream. Put it on over moisturiser and I think it looks okay but I'm not sure if I'm supposed to wear it over a cream base.

I knew I should have stuck to my Escentuals stuff but I just wanted something I could slap on quickly. Faffing about with four different powders is something I like to do to avoid DH and the kids at the weekends.

I LOVE forever powder foundation. Weirdly, I also use Nude but as the liquid :)

It's a powder foundation, so you wear it on its own, not over liquid foundation. Although to be honest what i do is do my makeup in the morning using my liquid foundation (usually Nude but at the moment rimmel's new touch gel stuff with the blue lid with is BRILLIANT) and then carry my forever compact around with me for touchups... I love it - I'm really really really broke but I replaced mine the other week (did some creative meal planning!) because it is just so good. It's the only powder foundation I've ever tried that sort of melts into your skin and just looks.... good.

It's not nude though, so you have the right to be a bit cross! Also, I was told last week that they don't SELL refills for forever - so what's going on there?!

I have recently acquired a Forever powder foundation and think it's lovely. It's not as good coverage as the MAC StudioFix I sometimes use but it is much better for my older skin as it gives a lovely glow. I just need to put a tiny bit of concealer over my blemishes before putting the Forever compact over the top. You don't need to put foundation on under it, it's a 2 in 1.
