I have bought a fab dress for my birthday night out, but having a wobble

its this and looks much better on than in the pic. I am 5'1" with longish legs, a size 8 and a sort of slightly off hourglass (bigger boobs than hips, but only marginally) the dress sort of balances that out and gives me a proper vavavoom/Jessica Rabbit shape. its also just above my knee. I am 33 (nearly 34) and its for my birthday night out, bar and a retro 80's/90's club.

but I showed it MIL yesterday and she made a comment about not being 18 anymore, mutton/lamb etc. does she have a point? do I need to panic buy?

Thanks, I'm so excited. Having wisdom teeth out the week before on my bloody birthday, but its been so long since I've been out! I'm planning on drinking cocktails and dancing all night!

I think it's a fab dress and you will look great. She's only jealous as she can't wear sleeveless dresses any more with her saggy arms. Go for it.

Im a similar size to you (well, I was before I became pregnant!) and I have one similar in black that I love. You will look gorgeous - and the colour is fab! Enjoy!

thank you everyone who has said she is a jealous old bag it will look lovely. I dont have much confidence, and am v unsure (add to that uber-glam little sister who always looks fab will be there)

She wears it just with a clutch, fab earings and a bangle. It's such a gorgeous dress you really don't need much with it.

I shall search for a suede clutch then! it is a lovely dress though.
