Help! Need a dress for SIL's wedding.

Wedding is in March, DH is giving her away ad DD is bridesmaid so I need to look presentable.
I'm 41, 5'3", size 10-12 and an apple shape (I think) - no waist, some tummy, 34D, good legs. Hoping to get something for under £80.
I don't do dresses very often and have no idea of what would suit me best or what to wear with it in the way of shrug, shoes etc.

Please help.

You have some boobs - have you tried pepperberry by bravissimo. I got fab dress for wedding before Xmas and only £60. Looked much more expensive and obviously tonnes of size options. I'm short too but length was ok

NooneLikesAGreyjoy · 14/01/2012 23:28

what are her colours? do you want to tie in or be totally different?

Collision · 14/01/2012 23:30

I know it is brown but I quite like it

Collision · 14/01/2012 23:31

How about these?

You sound about my shape - I have the second one and wore it for something formal, and now it looks great with thick black tights and a black fitted jacket for meetings. Washes beautifully.

Thanks.
I like the bravissimo one though not sure about brown.

The second phase 8 one is lovely but I can't do red (eczema on my face and it makes it look worse). The first is out of stock online but I'll have a look in store.

What do you think of this one?. It's the first one I tried on and quite liked it but you never by the first one do you?

I think it is a very nice dress but more for being smart at work rather than important wedding guest.

NooneLikesAGreyjoy · 15/01/2012 11:50

I agree with novel, too casual imo.

NooneLikesAGreyjoy · 15/01/2012 11:52

lollystix · 15/01/2012 12:09

Collision - the one you put on was the one I had - ds2 kept saying 'mummy - you a princess'. So comfy - I loved it.

Noone - love the teal ones you linked to especially the backless one but is there anything could I wear on top if I get chilly?

What type of wedding is it? Church or hotel or registry office? Could you get away with a pashmina type thing?
