Mistake with higlights-help!

Help, I had highlights and lowlights put in today and i hate the high lights. Tis nut fault, i asked for more ash than warm as i don't like warm tones in my hair as they always end up orange. So ....i got what i asked for, but as my hair is longerthan when i last had colour and i am older i think they just make me look washed out (almost like greying!)
What the bloody hell can i do? Woukd a semi perm colour take them back a bit (clairol etc?) Cant go back as i did ask for them. Pretty please advice please

no advice hettie but i really sympathise, i too go orangey with warm colours but ash just looks...well too ashy on my hair. (i am a natural mouse)

would it be worth you going back and asking the hairdresser for advice, maybe get a toner put on?

good luck!

I ended up getting ash highlights from somewhere new - I just went to my old hairdresser a month later and asked for warm golden tones to rectify and it worked.
Though my hair did look crap for a few weeks - like I had long grey hair!

right update- used clairol light ash to brown (75) 8 wash semi.....
all is much better (phew) toned them down quite a bit and I look much less scary. When this washes out will probably go for the same shade in the 24 washes version......
thanks for the hand holding!
