Dr Martens Elena boot- mahogany, damn you chunky calves!

I saw these being promoted on last week's 'Mumsnet Swears by' and immediately thought 'I have just got to have those' so ordered them directly from DM website- £110. They arrived yesterday. I tried them on. THEY DO NOT FIT. My little stumpy legs are too chunky for them, I can't get the zip all the way up.

I am not chuffed.

Returning them in the post asap.

Oh bugger.

I am comforted by the fact that someone out there will be able to wear them due to their svelte calves.

Has anyone else had the same experience ?

Get the shorter ones (Tana I think they are called) - I have these and they fit over my chunky, stubby calves like a dream.

I didn't know they were MN approved now though - I posted about them when I got them last year and was told they look like Tweenie shoes.

By the looks of them, you've had a lucky escape.
