Home Style - does this go? Dark floor

Hello,
I know this probably isn't the right place, but it gets lots of traffic from lovely stylish ladies. Buying a house. Living room floor is a dark wood/ laminate which we are not changing. I'd quite like white walls and to add colour through furnishings/cushions/ accessories/ mirror etc.
Does a stone/ grey sofa go?
What other colours do you think for sofas? We currently have cream leather, but I find it very cold. Any good websites? I've been on the first few that pop up on google, but feeling uninspired.
Thanks

What sort of styles do you like?

I have quite dark wood floors and a brown leather sofa in one room, grey sofa in conservatory and white leather chairs in other part of living room. I have white walls almost everywhere and add colour through soft furnishings and art work/wall hangings.

The other thing I'd say about sofas is imho to stick to leather. Our grey sofa is our newest and was made in special no stain material but it doesn't look half as good as the leather ones.

I want fabric, but I agree, my leather still looks great after 8 years, no kids yet tho!
I fancy grey sofa, white walls, maybe a rug thats got a bit of green in it with cushions etc with a touch of pink & green. Sounds a lot, but the majority is plain with a kind of natural accent, like a flower if that makes sense.

The cushions like a flower I mean, maybe like an orchid.
