Sock buns! Who does them and do you wear the bun or do it just for the curls?

I like the curls and volume I get from wearing the sock bun overnight, but I kind of also like the bun...just not sure whether it looks good or like there's a massive doughnut sitting on my head

I did a sock bun for curls last night and the bottom half of my hair slid out of the bun so I have half straight hair, half beautiful curls! Definitely works better on dirty hair with a bit of product in it.
