Where to buy decent leggings?

CoffeeMum · 28/11/2011 10:56

I always used to get good black leggings in M&S, but they seem to have gone downhill in the last year or so. The last few pairs i've bought there have gone baggy at the knee after just one wear, and developed little holes too.

Where have you lot bought good, durable black leggings recently? [ideally, somewhere where I can order them online please Grin]

Thank you very much S&B ladies Smile

I think the H&M ones are good, they last ages and are great value.
And Boden apparently! Grin

PamBeesly · 28/11/2011 18:12

hahahaha....wowza, you REALLY love Boden :)

Enthusiasm is no bad thing.

Dosey · 28/11/2011 20:10

Don't know much about leggings but lifeislovely you made me giggle!!!!

tanfastic · 28/11/2011 20:12

I bought some from Top Shop four years ago when I was pregnant and I'm still wearing them now and they are as black as the day I bought them.

maybunny · 28/11/2011 20:17

Well it seems Boden ones are great! I get mine from next - nice comfy waistband and don't go baggy.

SootySweepandSue · 28/11/2011 20:19

I'm with Top Shop. Lasted a few years, just gone back for 2 more pairs of the same. And I fit into size 10 of theirs despite big cellie bags Grin.

CoffeeMum · 29/11/2011 06:25

Haha, i wondered how there could be so many replies to a simple question about leggings Grin Boden, you say?!

Okay, I will put in an order for the Boden ones if I have no luck elsewhere, but I need them now, not in six weeks time. Going into town tomorrow, so will check out Next, Top Shop, Gap and Warehouse.

Thanks ladies Smile

Wallis!! It's the only thing I've ever bought from there but I have a couple of pairs on a friends' recommendation.

Soft, stretchy, good quality and good length. I've had a pair for three years and they're great. The have a nice comfy wide waistband too that sit on just the right place. Also come in petite sizes.

They are £16 but you can always find a 20/25% off discount code online :)

cookingfat · 29/11/2011 16:49

Another vote for Boden (only things I have from there).

madmomma · 29/11/2011 20:16

how do the gap sizes come up? L is 14/16 and M is 12. Don't know which to order. I'd say I'm a 14 but if the L is closer to a 16 it'll really piss me off if I'm constantly hitching them up.

cookingfat · 30/11/2011 07:14

I'm 12-14, and medium fit well.

KWL51 · 30/11/2011 10:28

yes have to say boden as well. they do come up big though. im a 14/16 and i have got a 12 and they fit lovely.
also beleive it or not primark, control leggings are fab too. good thick black lycra, not like thier normal leggings that are more like opaque tights.

CeliaChristmasFete · 30/11/2011 10:34

American Apparel are supposed to be ace (not tried them myself) but worth a look.

madmomma · 30/11/2011 20:14

thanks cookingfat
