Anyone got these top shop boots?

these ones, i was debating buying thewm as i had some fly london mol and had to sell them on as my sporty calves could hardly get in them especially if tried to wear over jeans. I am therefore wanting to know how high these are in comparison and if made generously for sporty calves.

Ooh I love these! but should I worry that everyone will be wearing them now at school on monday morning?!

tummytickler · 22/09/2011 13:58

Well, I wont be wearing them at school on Monday morning Grin
They are really roomy in the leg, but I can't get my foot in, my heel gets stuck at the heel bit in the boot. My foot would go inside if I could get my heel past it! I am sure I don't have fat heels Grin
I am would ask for a refund and send back but I am having a few issues with the seller, so I think I am safer to try to sell on.

daenerysstormborn · 22/09/2011 15:10

after a bit of googling i found this am wondering now if they are factory seconds and maybe faulty. seems odd that someone is selling them off in bulk. i reckon this is where the sellers on ebay have got them from. who did you buy from tt?

AgentProvocateur · 22/09/2011 15:27

I've just come home to a card to say that they tried to deliver, but I was out. I'll collect them tomorrow and report back, although I am a bit worried after tummytickler's experience.

AgentProvocateur · 22/09/2011 15:29

daenerysstormborn, what a fascinating site! I'll bookmark it for further exploration.

SemperUbiSubUbi · 22/09/2011 15:51

I think as soon as something becomes a MN item (these boots, the scarf etc) we should group together, all pay in to a paypal and but it wholesale for half the price.

noyouhavehadawee · 22/09/2011 19:48

Mine are still absolutley fine but i am dissapointed the seller never gotback to me despite 2 emails sent. I have not left feedback yet.

Noyouhavehadawee - what were you emailing about?

chickchickchicken · 22/09/2011 22:48

tummytickler - i cant get mine past the heel part either. its so frustrating as they are generous everywhere else. ive never had this problem before and had to try them again a bit later just to check they really didnt fit! havent contacted seller as thought it was my problem if they didnt fit. mmm may drop seller an email just in case she will refund. they are lovely boots though

tummytickler · 23/09/2011 07:06

Did you buy from the same seller? I am a bit worried they wont refund.
They said I would get a refund about a difference in price (they were £30 when I bought them, and a couple of hours later they were 23.99, so I complained). When I emailed to remind them (as they asked me to) I was told their paypal account is barred. They are still trading on ebay, so I don't think i trust them. I have a feeling I will send the boots back and not have money or boots!

Moodykat · 23/09/2011 08:37

Oh bugger! Please don't say that! Am worrying mine won't even turn up!

trumpton · 23/09/2011 08:59

. Marking place as I have ordered the black ones. eek hope they come and hope I can get them on.

ChablisLover · 23/09/2011 09:59

My chocolate ones arrived yesterday. The are ok. A few black marks on them and one is more crinkly than the other. Just distress sole and dh will think I've had them forever. Calves fit ok but I think heel will be sore for a wee bit.

All in all not bad for £24. Pleased.

Now hoping black ones I ordered now show up!

AgentProvocateur · 23/09/2011 10:03

I'm just back from the sorting office - the package I thought was my boots is, in fact, an Xbox game that DS ordered on my account. I'm so disappointed - I was planning to wear my boots tonight. Sad

AgentProvocateur · 23/09/2011 10:05

To the awkward-heeled people, would a shoe horn work?

daenerysstormborn · 23/09/2011 11:02

mine haven't arrived yet, still hopeful they'll fit as i have dainty feet Grin, if not, dd will inherit them now she's in the same shoe size as me!

Byeckerslike · 23/09/2011 11:24

Agent, they might arrive today, has your post been?

AgentProvocateur · 23/09/2011 11:47

Ooh! They're here, and I've got them on.

No problems getting them on. They're ever so slightly big - I'm usually a 4.5 and I ordered a 5. However, I must have the biggest calves on Mumsnet, because I can't pull them up at all, but TBH, I would probably only wear them folded over anyway. The heels and soles are satisfyingly clumpy on my kitchen floor.

DS (15) has just said that they're like something his Granny would wear, because the boots turn up at the toes, and he's right - the front of the boot doesn't touch the ground at all.

Anyway, for £30, I'm very happy with them.

noyouhavehadawee · 23/09/2011 17:41

I was emailing as the price changed between watching and buying like tummytickler - stil no response, i bought them from xchainstore seller or somethign like that. Is that whos aypal is barred?

OP posts:
Moodykat · 23/09/2011 18:16

Mine have arrived and I also can't get my fucking heel in them! Also, I cannot get them to fold down to the same height! Have emailed seller who is the same as your no. really disappointed!

tummytickler · 23/09/2011 18:52

Yep - xchainstore here too!
Still not sure whether to return them - what is it with the heel thing -so weird.

Moodykat · 23/09/2011 19:04

They said I can send mine back for another pair as these are obviously faulty??

tummytickler · 23/09/2011 19:35

Are you going to get a size larger Moodykat ?

tummytickler · 23/09/2011 19:41

I have emailed to see if i can get a refund, although a bit pissed off about the wasted postage expenditure.
Will wait to hear back from them.

NestaVipers · 23/09/2011 19:57

Mine arrived today. Had similar problem with the heel. The material around the heel seems particularly rigid and hard which makes getting the foot in exceptionally difficult. After massaging the leather for a bit I finally managed to get my foot in and now they are going on fine. Maybe it would be worth persisting with?
