Anyone got these top shop boots?

these ones, i was debating buying thewm as i had some fly london mol and had to sell them on as my sporty calves could hardly get in them especially if tried to wear over jeans. I am therefore wanting to know how high these are in comparison and if made generously for sporty calves.

I succumbed and bought the brown also and was charged £30 in total.

tummytickler · 18/09/2011 15:58

I paid £6.50 in total too, only for them to go down in price before my very eyes. I sent her an email saying I was not happy to pay that price for a pair of boots that she was now selling for £6 less, and she sent an email back saying she would refund £4 when they are delivered.
Really cheeky - I saw the price go up and down 3 times in less than 24 hours. They only went down to 23.99 yesterday morning, after I had paid 29.99 the previous afternoon.
Try emailing her in a cross manner, for a refund of the difference.

tummytickler · 18/09/2011 15:59

36.50 in total not 6.50!

Purplebuns · 18/09/2011 16:05

Ooh they are nice, I have a high instep so if any of you happen to be the same, and buying them can you let me know how you get on?

noyouhavehadawee · 18/09/2011 19:03

mine have arrived, i have no measuring implement but they fit me rolled up or rolled down, only think i can critisise is i feel like and i can confirm this is the case as just stuffed hand in them but the insole doesnt go allthe way to the end so there is a gap of about 2 inches where my foot kind of drops off the insole! Hmmmm now im going to have to buy an insole. They look nice though . AKsi 100% leather hmmm they sounds a bit crinkly lol.

I've just ordered some. If they don't fit, I'll re-ebay them. Can't wait till they arrive now!

daenerysstormborn · 19/09/2011 12:41

can i ask, what is the finish like on the leather?, it looks a little shiny in some of the photo's but it could just be the flash.

noyouhavehadawee · 19/09/2011 13:40

no ont shiney - i have the brown, a but distressed perhaps but not massively - i love them, i just been to drop ds at school in them and then sat in house and had my dinner wearing them, in fact the house is quite chily so im not sat here at the pc avoiding working in my dressing gown and my boots !

am tempted, since my shoes are now in for a bit of a battering, dd's feet were measured yesterday and she's now taking the same size as me and has designs on my wardrobe!

SemperUbiSubUbi · 19/09/2011 15:01

Ive been after these after seeing them on the other thread. I really want them, they are everything I ever wanted in a boot Grin

I need to find a measuring tape and wrap it round my tree trunks first though.

netbook · 19/09/2011 18:43

Have decided to get them in black, I already have Mols in brown so don't actually need another pair of brown boots, although at the price it's really tempting. Will start with black and see how comfortable they are.

Has anyone else's arrived?

chickchickchicken · 19/09/2011 18:50

does anyone know how size compares to say clarks? i am a 6 - 6.5. should i go for a 6 or 7?

ptangyangkipperbang · 19/09/2011 19:00

Does anyone know what the sole is like? I bought a 'sensible' looking pair of boots from Next and went flying after the first drop of rain fell! Absolutley no grip. Thanks very much.

noyouhavehadawee · 19/09/2011 19:36

I have just been out walking in mine for 2 hours, the sole feels quite rubbery but not massive tread, i never slipped. My Mols used to nip my, these have molded right into my feet perfick! i did not get an insole and miraculously the ridge seems to notbe affecting me now. Will dig out my spray tonight and give them the leather treatment.

noyouhavehadawee - did you buy your regular size? how do they compare size wise to say clarks or m & s?

noyouhavehadawee · 19/09/2011 20:07

Yes i bought my regular size and in comparison to my clarks worky shoes i would say they are more generous.

Moodykat · 20/09/2011 09:41

I've bought mine now! Hurrah!

tummytickler · 20/09/2011 10:02

ooooh - can't wait for mine to arrive. I ordered them on Friday - hopefully they will come today!

tummytickler · 22/09/2011 11:49

They arrived today and the bastards don't fit! Cant even get my foot in them, The top of them would be fine on calves but I can't get my foot in! Really annoyed. That'll teach me to buy boots I can't afford.

daenerysstormborn · 22/09/2011 12:16

oh dear!, was just going to ask if anyone's have arrived. what's up with them?, are they an odd shape or small sizing. i ordered a pair, having second thoughts now but that's a whole other story, had an email yesterday to say they have been dispatched. i ordered a 4, usually take a 4 but am a small 4 so hopefully they'll be ok.

SixtyFootDoll · 22/09/2011 12:25

As another owner of sporty calves am watching with interest.
I had to send back Fly Mes as although I could do them up my calves looked like they were hanging overmthe top.

daenerysstormborn · 22/09/2011 13:32

fly london do tend to be very slim on the leg unfortunately.
