Yes, very happy with the score notyummy. Fiji put us on the plane home last world cup. We always have trouble against them and Samoa. We do seem to have some amazing young players though..

I am dithering over MU outfit too.

But so so tired. Can't wait to get the kids to bed, shred, do 2 hours preparation, then collapse!

Ignore DH NY, sometimes when something is very fashion forward they just don't get it I find.
Petit I'm the one going to Chapter One! On Tuesday, followed by a theatre trip in the Gate! When are you going? Love the scarf, beautiful colours.
VERITY you eBay don't you? I need a few quick pointers. Also can't see how people would be lured into spending 10 euro on something if the postage would be another 10. Postage is so extortionate here in Ireland. But hey it must be or people wouldn't do it!

dexter73 · 02/10/2011 19:11

Didn't realise there were so many rugby fans here! We are keen on rugby and dd is the most keen as she plays for our local team and has also been picked for the County girls U15 team so we are hugely proud! Just means more Sundays driving around to rugby clubs and bulk purchases of ice packs for all her injuries!

blossoming · 02/10/2011 20:01

I have all that to come dexter! DS is playing Tag for the Under 8s!

pickledsiblings · 02/10/2011 20:05

Dexter, I know what you mean about the ice packs - I'm secretly hoping DS1 gives up before he gets to 15. He's in the U8s atm, DH is the manager. They've won all 3 matches they played this w/e. It can be pretty full on sometimes even at this age.

pickledsiblings · 02/10/2011 20:07

x post Bloss Smile. Hope you have a productive evening and can manage to stay awake.

dexter73 · 02/10/2011 20:10

God it's so rough isn't it! Only one girl got taken to A&E this match. It was really awful as she couldn't even stand up for about 15 minutes and was crying so much. My dd hasn't been hurt too badly but had concussion once after someone tackled her and then grabbed her hair and smacked her head into the ground. I was checking her breathing in the night for a couple of nights afterwards to check she was still alive! Girls are so gentle Hmm!

roary · 02/10/2011 20:30

SHredders, have any of you tried the new ripped in 30 days? I have a multiregion dvd player and have ordered to replace my great aerobics till I get back to Oz....

notyummy · 02/10/2011 20:41

I want to Roary! I haven't got a multi region player so I am waiting for the UK version to come out. I have heard it is hard though. I also might get 'Killer Buns and Thighs'- unfortunately I don't think that refers to scones......

Did you see on FB notyummy how the US public want Jillian back on BL?
Also desperate for Ripped in 30. Not so keen on the other one.

Gardening yesterday, giving myself BL like challenges ie carrying loads of mown grass up to the top of the garden, running up and down. Competing against myself. So predictable, aching like anything now and doing very feeble jumping jacks earlier.

icey, snap on two points. We've also met Peppa and George, and hearing dexter, dd will not be playing rugby! I took a photo of her today sitting on the steps surrounded by DS's team mates. In her little element!

Icey if it makes you feel better, unless my tummy disappears soonish, I may well be asking you to bring along a maternity dress for me as nothing else will fit. Seriously!

Have ordered 2 sizes in the ASOS dress I liked - should be here by Wednesday. Wont link as worried it'll look terrible/cheap in RL - but feel free to pay the "lets guess the dress" game if you are browsing ASOS anyway!

Where's the lovely Marsha?

NY Railway Children sounds great - would love to do something like that. I love having lots of festivities at Christmas to look forward too (and you can never mention the C word too soon in my book!)

Back from a lovely meal out with DH. DH announced 10mins before leaving we were going on the bikes so he could drink. Janice and bikes do not mix imo so I changed into Agnes, grey shoeboots, white blouse, new Banana Republic scarf and short black jacket. The waitress complemented the Agnes's as I was leaving - made my night . Did my usual thing of blurting out what a bargain they were in the sale - DH most amused!

Oh yes, had the family day with the in-laws at a lovely park. Spent the whole afternoon in the shade tho as SIL didnt want to sit in the sun so made us all move from a picnic bench in a sunny spot onto rugs in the shade. I didnt want to seem unsociable by moving away to a sunny patch so spent the whole time feeling peeved and slightly cold! Am slightly Angry that neither sister got DH a present or even a card for his 40th. MIL got her brother to scan and download lots and lots of old family pics onto a CD which is a lovely tho.

Must go to bed. Nighty night.

OllieinOrange · 02/10/2011 22:00

Oooohh DeepLeaf sounds fascinating. Waitress tonight was wearing a black waistcoat over a black vest top and I thought how good she looked in it.

Morning! What amazing weather. The weekend was quite busy. Not organised but a stream of visitors, bumping into people I haven't seen for ages.

Anniemac good luck today.

Deep Leaf that sounds really interesting. Quite curious what I would be.

Ollie and NY I agree about Christmas. Well this year anyway. Dinners, parties, pantomime type thing (Magical Night or something in Covent Garden), and Berlin swish hotel booked. Fritzi we are going to the beautiful one you linked. Quite excited!

Really looking forward to MU and seeing everyone again Smile.

blossoming · 03/10/2011 08:04

Am quite envious of everyone's plans! Saw a flyer for The Railway Children the other day. I am a closet trainspotter and would love that!

Today I have a school visit to the school that turned me down for a job back in February! I will feel very strange indeed going back!

What to wear? Quite drizzly here.

Morning all. Boo hiss to having to sit in an office for the last day of the good weather. I have been looking at the weather forecast and I think opaques would not be out of place at all in London on Saturday, given the contrast in temperature from now! Looks like a high of 14c, which is tights weather to me! This may help me narrow down the options.....

Your style consultancy sounds fascinating Deepleaf - I am utterly unsure of what style I am tbh. I think I am a bit 'all over the place'. Listening to the description you gave, I think I am fairly sure I am not a 'gamine' but that is mainly because the idea of taming my hair like that is beyond me Grin.

Glad you had a good night out Ollie.

Hope the weeks fly by until you see DH again Annie. DH was away all last week, but I have him back this week and next. Away again for a week in October that coincides with all sorts of things happening at work. Grr. Mothers help can cover some of it, but not all. He is likely to go away for between 6 and 9 months at some point in the next couple of years and he really wants us to get an au pair when that happens, but I am not so keen. I don't want to share my house with someone tbh, and the friends that we know who have gone down this route have had very mixed experiences. Some sociable fab helpful individuals.....and some surly, weepy teenagers who did absolutely nothing. I am convinced we would get the second!!

redllamayellowllama · 03/10/2011 10:35

Deep that sounds like such an interesting day - were the other ladies very different to you in diagnosis? Imagine it's great to do it with other people to get a sense of perspective on yours, iykwim.

NY have friend's who have seen The Railway Children and it's meant to be wonderful. I think DS will be ready for pantomimes this year, must look into booking something.

Am feeling a bit wobbly here, 3rd AF in 4 weeks (sorry if TMI) has marked their return post-DD and feel completely wiped out and grumpy. I just bumped into a local lady in the supermarket whose husband was attacked in a completely unprovoked way on Friday evening on the comer of our road - about 20m from our house. He's going to need reconstructive surgery and was beaten despite handing over his phone, wallet etc. He's a primary teacher who serves this community. Just horrible. I feel very shaken by it. People locally and the police are very shocked by it, but apparently the police know who they are looking for.

roary · 03/10/2011 10:40

red how AWFUL and frightening about the attack. If it is any help my periods were hideous on their return after both kids and then settled down again but I found the hormonal spikes were much worse as was everything else.

NY am totally with you on the au pair. It would drive me nuts to have someone in the house anyway and the possibility of a sullen teenager would put me roudn the bend. Annie am in to week 3 of my single motherhood and it is hard not having the adult company in the evening. I can't recall if there is an end in sight to your separation or will this be the way of things for a while?
Bloss and NY will report on the DVD player. Multiregion dvd player was the best present ever from a far thinking wedding guest who deduced we'd be living all over the place.

Am trying to DEFINITELY find the answer to whether or not I will be able to make the meetup. Lots of ducks to put in a row and like Annie my single motherhood status at the moment makes it complicated, the kids are quite reliant on my presence right now....
