This is the bag I can't afford...

I love this bag and have wanted one like it for ages.

I can't afford it though, so are there any high street bags that are similar in style that I might love too?

I need it to have a long strap that can go over my shoulder and I need to love it!

Too military looking?

PottyRefusnik · 02/09/2011 22:32

Those are rather nice Pictish, do they just absorb all the rain though? Our washable nappies for the girls have hemp inserts because they are so absorbent. I live in rainy, rainy Yorkshire and don't want a sponge for a bag!

To be fair, its not really a lot of money for a bag(sorry). Have to add though, i'm not a CK lover either it just screams mumsy not sexy.

PottyRefusnik · 02/09/2011 22:35

Hmm?

I dunno.....sorry.

I had a Pink Lining change bag...had a quick squizz to see what they had, but all their current designs are horrid.
Tbh I move on to a single nappy and a packet of wipes in a normal bag pretty quickly, but I prefer to travel light.

pictish · 02/09/2011 22:36

Pleather. Yuck.

PottyRefusnik · 02/09/2011 22:36

Magic No, back in my I-had-a-job-and-no-kids days that would have been pocket money to me. These days its a little different though, sadly.

could you get it for christmas?

magicmelons · 02/09/2011 22:41

I don't mean its not alot of money, it is, but what i mean its not alot for a decent bag. I'm fighting your corner here, this is your excuse to buy it.

thisisyesterday · 02/09/2011 22:41

boden had a similar one that went in the sale but there are none left now

Popbiscuit · 02/09/2011 22:41

I'm with Pictish. Hold out for a really good normal bag. It could be a reward and incentive to ditch the nappies for good? Winter coats are hard to combine with bags anyway and 18 months is a perfect timeline to save up for something extremely expensive.

thisisyesterday · 02/09/2011 22:42

full price and still cheaper than cath!

PottyRefusnik · 02/09/2011 22:43

This is what I have in my current bag (which is an Upsy Daisy bag from Asda, I want to hang my head in shame!):

2 nappies (one per child)
nappy bags (usually 3 or so)
reins for bolting toddler
bib for baby for meals
pack of wipes
sudocreme small tub
one sippy cup of water which I make them share (can't fit in two)
spare pair of leggings (know as the emergency leggings, they fit both girls and come in use often)
medication for DD1 (have to take everywhere)
small collection of sticklebricks for all waiting around type situations
purse
very small tupperware pot of breadsticks

Would like to also fit, though can't currently:
powder compact
hairbrush

I need a big bag people!!

ThisIs I love it, I really do. They do it in a blue colourway. I love it (did I say that already??)

OP posts:
thisisyesterday · 02/09/2011 22:46

hmmmmm you need a proper changing bag for all that

dalek · 02/09/2011 22:47

Where do you live OP? I'm in St Albans and we have a market on wednesdays and saturdays. There is a stall that sells bags very very similar to the CK ones - they can't be very expensive.

thisisyesterday · 02/09/2011 22:48

if you are a new customer then use ST15 for 15% off, free delivery and a free washbag

PottyRefusnik · 02/09/2011 22:48

ThisIs Noooooo, I am fed up with having a change bag. I just want a pretty bag.

Is the ST15 code for the boden?

OP posts:
BikeRunSki · 02/09/2011 22:52

Or you could buy the bag and buy the coat to match...

thisisyesterday · 02/09/2011 22:54

yeah the code is for boden Grin

does this make me an enabler? lol

magicmelons · 02/09/2011 22:54

I like the brown slouchy one, OCAB will get you 15% of boden if the other doesn't work

PottyRefusnik · 02/09/2011 22:57

Do you think all my crap would fit in this?

OP posts:
PottyRefusnik · 02/09/2011 22:58

On ebay

OP posts:
magicmelons · 02/09/2011 22:59

the reviews seem to say so someone is using it as a changing bag, free, no hassle returns so you can always send it back if not.
