Grin

Because moonlight gives you a nice glow and doesn't show up your wrinkles or grey hair.

Approx what time are we meeting? I have to work out how many hours I will need the security guards for. For my tiara.

BD - don't be scared! I was well terrified before the spring meet up, but BTM and CV were just lovely, and now I can't wait to see them again. I am quite sure all the other crepeys will be of similar calibre.

orangina · 16/09/2011 13:55

Hello! Please count me in for the 7th..... (MI assures me she will be there too.....)

Well, dh tells me I MUST go. (He has an ulterior motive - he is putting together a new band and is storing up his free passes) But I need some hints about where to book a cheap hotel room near wherever it is that we are meeting. I have decided that pitching up late and possibly somewhat pissed at the residence of my aged rellies would be not good. Especially as I am inflicting my entire family on the same aged rellies a few weeks later for B&B on the way to the airport.

herbaceous · 17/09/2011 01:05

I'm sure there must be lots of hotels, of various levels of salubriousness, around Waterloo.

But it's a bit late, and I'm a bit 'tired' to be able to help. Out with the girls, you know.

bigTillyMint · 17/09/2011 07:36

Gah, Herbs! You see, you ARE a party animalEnvy

Strop. I'm afraid I have no idea about cheap hotels in London. Are you SURE your aged rellies would hear you coming in late?Wink

motherinferior · 17/09/2011 09:46

I have a hangover Blush but since it was acquired over dinner with my mother I feel I have a free pass.

I've missed you all. Am struggling slightly with combo of work+kids+some freelancing and other writing. It is all manageable, but I haven't worked it quite out yet.

Jigsaw dress continues to be complimented though. Although DP says sniffily it reveals too much nork.

bigTillyMint · 17/09/2011 10:27

MI, Envy of being accused of showing too much nork. No chance here unless I'm wearing my 2-sizes bigger bra (which I didn't realise worked till DS's eyes nearly popped out of his head!)

Peace here - DH and DS gone to the cricket and DD is at gym, then a sleepover partyGrin

motherinferior · 17/09/2011 10:35

DP added sniffily I always show too much nork.

Stropperella · 17/09/2011 10:40

No peace here. ds and dd trying out their karate on one another and they have to both be at their respective swimming lessons by 11am. Am taking 2 mins breather before running out the door. Have had a little look at salubrious and unsalubrious Waterloo hotels and am now moving to Plan C, which involves staying with my bro, rather than aged rellies. Slight diplomatic incident in the family last week, so will have to tread carefully
Right, off to swimming.

motherinferior · 17/09/2011 10:51

Kew frock has arrived. Am not entirely convinced by it. Suspect I should send back.

bigTillyMint · 17/09/2011 11:07

MI, does your new Kew dress show too much nork? If not, send it back!

motherinferior · 17/09/2011 11:07

It just didn't quite work. And at that price, it should!

I have purchased a most excellent charity shoppe black shirtdress with stars printed on it....for DD1, soddit. To wear with the black skinnies inherited from the Schadenfreuleine.

Despite going to a non-uniform school, the Inferiorettes really are quite cheap to run Grin.

herbaceous · 17/09/2011 18:14

Hangover now abated, and is just that nice residual tiredness, to be spent eating chilli with jacket spud, reading the papers and watching X Factor. DP and I have a word for this delight at such mundane domesticity - IN. Pronounced 'iiinnnnnnnn'.

Just been to a second birthday party - never advisable with a hangover - and wore a purple cowl-necked top I bought from Tesco years ago and have never worn. It looked great! I think purple may suit me. Does that make me a winter? Or what? The amount that it suits me makes me think there might be something in this Colour-me-Bollocks after all.

motherinferior · 17/09/2011 18:30

I am always amazed, Herbie, at how changing a very dark blue sweater for a very dark brown one (I used to have two identical chunky knits in these colours) revives me from near-exhumed (navy) to warm and lively (brown).

I agree ruby - a friend of mine did it and the colours do suit her.

I have never done it and just wear the colours I likeBlush

herbaceous · 17/09/2011 19:20

According to one site I have subsequently googled, I seem to be a 'soft autumn', for which it suggests such shades as coral, purple and burgundy, and it so happens that I have received compliments when I've worn those colours.

But if I do CmB, I'm rather afraid I'll turn into one of those women in Issey Miyake suits, with a large 'saffron' scarf draped over one shoulder.

DukesOfTripHazard · 18/09/2011 10:37

Lol at Colour-Me-Bollocks, Herbs.

I can do a very chalky purple. A mulberrry if you please.

I am going out too. But in a very iiinnnnnn kind of way: The flix at 6pm. Inbetweeners movie. Going with m'sister. I fully expect to hear her in full strangulated Basil Brush laughing mode. One of my very favourite sounds. Love sis. She is a useful 10 years older than me in that she is a well put together 54.

Stropperella · 18/09/2011 10:55

dd and I spent some time rummaging through the rails in Debenhams yesterday. I am trying to work out which colours suit me, but this seems more difficult thaI it should do. I appear to look knackered and washed-out no matter what colour I'm in. Grin
Inspired by MI and her search for dresses, I decided to give wrap dresses another try and have bought this Is about knee-length on me and I will wear it with black opaques and boots. Is quite a departure for this 'ere obsessive jeans wearer.

Blackduck · 18/09/2011 12:15

Frigging lib dem conference screwing up my shopping! In town to buy ds stuff for his tres sweaty feet as think he has fungal infection. Talking of mulberry, purple etc bought nice skirt in M&S - knee length, so not sure, dont want to look dumpy, have BIG fear of looking dumpy. Like frock Stropps.
