Grin

Because moonlight gives you a nice glow and doesn't show up your wrinkles or grey hair.

I'm 45. I don't like it the fact that in market research surveys I'm now in the 45-54 age bracket. Or the fact that on Ten Years Younger just now a 48-year-old woman looked about 569.

Poor little DS's eye is all swollen and weepy after his poking about on Tuesday. When he woke up this morning, it was totally gummed together. I had to sponge away at it for ages before he could open it. He's got such a heartbreaking way of saying 'all gone... all gone...' while something unpleasant is happening to him.

DukesOfTripHazard · 15/09/2011 11:24

Oh Herbs, bless him Sad

herbaceous · 15/09/2011 11:30

I know. It makes me well up just thinking about it. I sometimes wonder if it's possible to love a child TOO much. I just adore him.

Ahem. Anyway, in other news I just pulled a giant, stout hair from the front of my neck. It was a good inch long. I do hope nobody noticed it.

Aw, poor little chap. It will get easier the older he gets, hold onto that thought.

Anyway, keep talking ages, I've just realised I'm one of the youngest crepeys in town! Wink

Herbs Sad

CVEnvy not by much thoughWink

ruby, I might be doing the Christmas meet. And CV too?

Talking of meet-ups, did we make a decision on where yet? And time?

ruby, Couldn't he miss it for once in favour of his dear oldmum?Grin
Great MrsS!

wilbur · 15/09/2011 19:26

I'm definitely on for the 7th, happy to book somewhere if we can come to a consensus.

Herbs, sorry your ds's eye is grim for him - I'm sure it will get easier but I know that's not much help when he's struggling with it, poor lamb.

CointreauVersial · 15/09/2011 19:27

I think we need a List. For 7th October.

Just like they do in the "proper" meet-up threads add your name if you can come. So far we have:

BTM
Herbs
CV
MrsS

herbaceous · 15/09/2011 19:37

Yeah Ruby - can't his loving father cart him about? Or, indeed, can't he miss it?

As for where to meet on 7th, well... I believe three places got suggested:
Skylon (a bit pricey, but nice views and classy atoms, according to Square Meal)
Baltic (nice, but could be crowded in the bar, as I remember)
Canteen (average food and bad service, according to Square Meal)

Perhaps further research is required!

bigTillyMint · 15/09/2011 19:49

Don't forget Wilbur!

DEFINITELY
BTM
Herbs
CV
MrsS
Wilbur

MAYBE?
MI?
Strop?
BD?
ruby!

Any options sound good to me! Smile

Stropperella · 15/09/2011 19:58

Herbs, I really feel for you and your ds. I hope that it gets easier for you both soon.

I have every intention of attending the Creptastic meeting on the 7th, but I haven't yet consulted with the possible providers of accommodation. I will do this shortly.

I must remind myself that I am, in fact, still 46 for quite some time. Why I am fussing about 47? I have a whole 4 months yet..

I have tried some knee-length skirts, as per your recommendations: they make me look like an old bag/stereotypical 1970s geography teacher/ old school librarian. My legs are just all wrong. I am not sure why, they just are. Please, where can I get some smart trousers? The rise must be OK so that it does not cut into the squidge and the best cut is probably straight. Unfortunately I am, as previously mentioned, short.

Stropperella · 15/09/2011 20:01

Re: the 7th - country bumpkin question (no, really, humour me) I can wear jeans, can't I? (pathetic bumpkin face emoticon)

bigTillyMint · 15/09/2011 20:09

As long as they aren't a Worzel Gummidge style with wellies Smile

Of course, you do see lots of girls in wellies in London, but they are all of the 'never seen a speck of mud' variety!

Stropperella · 15/09/2011 20:31

No wellies :)

CointreauVersial · 15/09/2011 22:52

Sorry Strops, if you're not wearing a ballgown and tiara you can't come. Wink

Ooh, I'm looking forward to meeting you lot (apart from the two of you I've met already....not that I'm not looking forward to meeting you again....oh, you know what I mean...).
