Boden Catch of the Day

Boden Catch of the Day has started: 10% off selected items plus you can still use your 15% code on top.

I don't like any of the women's offers, but I have bought the Logo t-shirts for DS1 and DS2, they work out at less than £10 each.

well the women's catch today is the stitch hem dress which I have just sent back- but they are all out of stock anyway for 12 weeks - so why are they a catchConfused

kitya · 19/08/2011 13:19

theres hardly any discount. Im sure last year it was a straight 25 percent and then whatever you had on top of that. Its a blatant rip off.

VerityBrulee · 19/08/2011 14:00

Dh ordered the biker type jacket he had his eye on, with the two discounts it was reduced from 250 to 197, so not bad really (it was yestersday's offer)

herecomesthsun · 20/08/2011 02:18

It's very early though, August. Last year the really good discounts were in November IIRC

littlebluespring · 20/08/2011 18:08

How quickly do things sell out?

I've already ordered DD and DS some stuff from the winter preview and from catch of the day, but missed the autumn preview. DD has gone through a growth spurt and has grown out of everything, so will need lots of new clothes.

Might they have sold out of some stuff if I wait a month or so for better offers?

alemci · 20/08/2011 18:25

possibly but are you that bothered. It is all very overpriced. I usually wait till the sale or when we are into the season. Where do you store it all. I tend to pack my summer stuff away and then go through my winter stuff first.

OOH none of us really need any of this stuff do we but we are made to feel that we have to have it. being a bit cynical today.

littlebluespring · 20/08/2011 18:36

I appreciate your cynicism Alemci, but DD will need some warm clothes for Autumn and I am in a cold part of the country so am wearing Autumn clothes today! So DD will be have to wear new clothes very soon, as she has outgrown last year's, unless some kind of Indian Summer arrives.

I can't wait for the sale, so am wondering if I should just buy them now rather than wait until September.

Hi, I am probably being stupid but can't seem to combine the 10% and 15%?? Seen some jeans I would like!!

Gillybobs · 21/08/2011 15:30

My DH also ordered the Biker jacket when it was on 10% off, we combined it with the 15% off code thats around and then did the whole purchase via the Quidco website (gives you cashback when you go via their site to loads of shops, Boden, Debenhams, M&S......loads) which got us another 5% cashback. So the end cost of the £250 jacket will be just over £180

All you do is register with Quidco and always click on to their site before going through to wherever you want to shop. They register how much you spend and send it to your bank account. My DH has had about £200 cashback in the last year from various bits and pieces. For no extra effort really

kitya · 21/08/2011 18:04

Ive never known anything to well and truely sell out especially at this stage.

I really wouldnt rush into buying anything unless you cant live without it. I promise you, there will be many more better discounts.

JemimaMuddledUp · 21/08/2011 19:13

Mine are in Autumn clothes already, we are in Wales and already needing sleeves. I bought quite a few things in the Autumn preview and they are wearing them already. A lot of the Autumn stuff isn't that warm anyway, eg the Mini Boden long sleeved t-shirts and jersey dresses. Some days they are still wearing short sleeves and shorts, other days they need long sleeves, jeans and boots. For us it isn't a matter of "storing" it away, as summer t-shirts are worn under fleeces etc in the winter anyway, and there are good chunks of the year when the weather can't really make its mind up and they wear a variety of clothes!
