How funny, My DH's 40th is last weekend in September too!

We've gone into packing meltdown here. DCs are v fed up, so DH has disappeared with them for a bit. We're very nearly there - just all the odds and ends that never have a home. Petit, I love throwing things away, so have been terribly ruthless. Probably too much so.

Apuski can't believe it has come around so quickly either - I got a rightmove alert telling me that another house was for sale on our road (at the better end) and thought of you - a W&A outpost?! Has your DH enjoyed the start of the new job?

I loved the Caitlin Moran book - whizzed through it quickly as her writing style is just so readable. Think it would be an excellent book club book; would provoke huge amounts of discussion.

Sorry have been rather busy as was DSs birthday on Friday, so trip to Zoo and dinner out at Zizzi's! Then bouncing emails back and fro with architects re chez nous, and organising packing (okay, ironing everything I/we own to decide what to take) on hols on Friday...Ice Cream we are off to Cornwall too for 2 weeks...whereabouts you going? We're near St Mawes. Praying for sun......

Not much chance to properly catch up; the siblings are very 'lively' and excitable at the moment (!), something to do with DH 'counting down to hols' continuously.

Oh, silver Hunters sound lovely and sweet for DD, mrscb....how lovely.

Will have proper catch up later....afraid I'm going to miss 1st Oct (again) as DDs birthday....awwww.....

Pickled - I love painting furniture...French Grey a brill choice.

dolcee, how exciting to be perfecting your dream home. I finished the french grey off with a coat of dark wax that gave it a bit more depth - v. pleased with result.

We're just driving through/past Bristol and am thinking of you red and apuski and dolcee! We will be near st Austell. I don't know Cornwall very well at all but it's where dh spent most of his childhood holidays so is a big fan.

Bracing myself for a glut of visitors - down to my remarkable ability not to say no to people. Twin sister arrives first thing tomorrow (with Agnes's!!!) and stays until Sat, friend and her 2 DC arrive on Sunday til Weds and then my parents are over for the following week. Why, why, why?!

No sign of my Boden order yet. I did buy these boots today tho here - have them in the black and loved them all last winter. Thought they would look ok with the brown GP bird print dress - if I get it!

Re meet up dates - I really don't want to rock the boat date wise so please go ahead with the 1st Oct if that suits most of you - really not a problem. . Would the plan be a night out like last time or did we think a lunchtime meetup would be nice too? Either way I need new outfits!!!

Hello all. Just rushing in, to explain absence. I have had a dreadful week, where I ended up in hospital near my parents due to dehydration, from having the worst morning sickness imaginable. I had left my phone here at our house too.

I am feeling better, but won't be making the meet up. Does anyone have bloss, Carciofi's or ant's phone number? If so could they send a text for me? I cant get into my PMs to access their numbers. I would be so grateful.

Have to admit I dont 'do' Boden usually but those jeans look good Ollie. Not too keen on how they have styled them tbh, but the jeans themsleves look like the sort of thing you could get loads of wear out of.
