me again! a heavy cold (in July!) and constant message from mumsnet that they're doing some maintenance, has befuddled previous attempts to report on shopping progress. Today we were at a (cold!) wedding, trying to steer conversations away from recent news events.
Back to the shopping: this week's theme has been boots and scarves. Thanks petitdonkey for the welcome , carciofi - the Toast scarf seems to be the winner: I can summerify or winterify it as necessary as it's such a pretty soft pink, so have ordered. Am also going to look out for the Zara scarf Verity. I am convinced that I need a lily and lionel poppy scarf (I will go from having two scarves to having a house full) and will decide on that early in the week ...
Marsha the boots which are the clear winner (and look luxe IRL) are these Oasis boots www.oasis-stores.com/Fran-Block-Heel-Ankle-Boot/Boots/oasis/fcp-product/6750007409 I was tempted to wear them to the wedding today ... Bravo The Redoute boots weren't quite right (though nice in their own way!). I went slightly wild and decided to get some Nike Shox for my new Shred routine ... but they're the opposite of fashion.
In terms of Autumn wardrobe wishlist, I am looking for a dark grey sweater (like Gwyneth Paltrow wears in her latest Coach ad) - it's just the right tone of grey. I don't like my neck, so it would be ideal.
I also want some very thin, very high neck polo necks in white (and possibly black) as seen on the Celine runway. I have an old black Wolford polo neck body which is lovely but showing signs of wear.
I want a semi-sheer Equipment shirt and a
Also I am in need of a large-ish bag: currently have a crush on the Stella Fallabella in light grey, but then it's only faux leather so will it really be worth it? I also like the idea of a pale apricot coloured leather bag (this may not be ideal in rain of course).
I am also convinced that I need a pair of dark indigo skinny flare jeans, but that could just be the wedding champagne talking.
Trying to rearrange my wardrobe I found a nicely weathered LV monogram handbag, which I stopped wearing due to wags jumping on the bandwagon a few years ago and all the fakes around. Could I get away with it or is naff? The nicely aged leather could look good worn casually with dark grey.
Let's see if this one sneaks past the mumsnet maintenance pixies ...
