Bullet - i can match you and raise you - my mil is 75 and she and her friends are regulars in New Look. The odd thing is that because she would only wear one item at a time from there, the fact that everything else she has on is high-end (and she has v classy make up and nails) makes the New Look stuff look expensive too

But it's OK, yes & fabbo price

ruddynorah · 21/06/2011 14:57

I have a gorgeous swallow print sun dress! Navy with white swallows, bandeau style. I wear it with wedges and a skinny belt.

dexter73 · 21/06/2011 14:57

On another thread somebody linked to this top which would look good with white jeans and is much younger looking than the tunic.

Bluebell- Your MIL sound like a woman to aspire to! Loving the older ladies who stick 2 fingers up at Per Una and the like and shop in places deemed for young people only That is going to be me in 50 odd years time!

I have this which is nicer too with white jeans block colour bright silk T

hmc · 21/06/2011 15:00

Am not keen on it - find the print fussy and somewhat ageing.

Re your comment "Surely its just respectful to bother - like when you go the theatre etc" - I don't think I have ever dressed up for the theatre, that's very Hyacinth Bucket you know!

hmc · 21/06/2011 15:01

And dressing up for Sports Day is also outside my frame of reference!

DiNammic · 21/06/2011 15:01

It's not as if you are saying it consumes your life fgs, just that you want to look nice for an outing. Very sad fucker if you need to shit all over that.)
