i agree - grey denim not good

Instead of black or brown tights, I bought dark grey ones to wear with my black ballet shoes or boots. Looked odd to start with but I love them now. Trust me.

IN summer I love swishy or A-line, just below knee skirts worn with white t-shirt and either mules or ballet pumps. Winter is so tricky and skirts with coats are impossible. You have to wear a jacket. Atm I like fullish skirts (gored over chubby hips and slighly low on the waist) with a tightish jacket worn with boots. Would be wearing this if thinner.

Saw a fab taffeta skirt in a plummy/chocolatey brown the other day, sort of decorated in same-coloured ribbon. Lovely with a jersey top and velvet or corduroy jacket. Would need good boots too. Um, approximate cost of outfit £500+

Haven't read all the thread, I wear skirts usually only in the winter. I have 3 long (ankle skimming) denim skirts, which I usually wear with boots.

I prefer skirts, I wear them most days.
Wear anything from micro to long gypsy in all types of weather

I prefer full skirts so you can sit on the sofa and tuck your feet up under them.

Prefer skirts in winter cos I like tights and legs still ok but hate my pasty bare legs.

I want one actully be can't be arsed shopping - realise I now loathe shopping.

Weird Cod, you and I are about the same size IIRC, I always wear M&S Medium tights and don't have a problem with them. How about braces?

I wear skirts all the time in the summer but find it all too much of a faff in winter with tights and what have you. However, I am going through a "must make more effort with appearance or dh will have affair with young whippersnapper without stretchmarks" stage at the moment and bought a skirt from Monsoon on Sat, which I will wear with boots. Before I had ds I wore skirt suits to work all the time as we weren't allowed to wear trouser suits , went back for a couple of days when he was 6 mo to do some training and was SO uncomfortable in my little Hobbs suit, tights and heels! Like Malory, I am a devotee of Gap Long & Lean jeans but did buy a pair of Frnch Connection skinny jeans on Sat also - hmmmm, haven't cut the labels off yet!

I am wearing a skirt today!!!!!

Never usually wear them but this one is short and i have black tightd with silver/grey zigzags on and black boots (flat ones i cant walk in heels lol)

used to wear skirts all the time - short ones too as the old pins were quite nice. Now not so nice so the legs remain hidden in trousers mostly!
