I don't know but hate the hobbling along walk you have to do if your skirt is shorter than below the knee..........

CountessDracula · 15/11/2005 12:25

it may mean they are too small

or do you mean nora batty stylee?

serenity · 15/11/2005 12:25

Up until I had the kids I never wore trousers, now I never wear skirts - it's just nor practical when you're rolling about on the floor with a toddler so I've got out of the habit. The last time I remember wearing a skirt was at DD's christening August 2004, and I felt very self conscious.

I really want a nice winter skirt as have lots of nice boots. I have a boring brown jigsaw one sort of cordy and a bit flary and a denim one again quite long. Am thinking something a bit straighter - can anyone find me something?

I wear skirts 2-3 times a week. If they're below the knee I might wear with long socks rather than tights. I do like woolly black tights. Very cosy and no fear of constant snagging. Always wear with boots unless I'm dressing up. They do look a bit odd later on when accessorising with slippers!
I had to wear skirt suits when I worked at Harrods. Hated it mainly because of the constant expense of tights. Started wearing hold ups as if you laddered a leg you only had to throw one away and still had a good leg you could use!
I do like wearing skirts as my legs are my best bit! And I can wear a denim mini in winter (with said woolly tights) which I wouldn't wear in summer with bare legs as it would feel too exposed (at 31 I feel the shape of my legs are fine but not the condition!).

I wear short skirts more in winter funnily enough with boots and patterned tights. Just bought a gorgeous one that I feel is too short for work, a few inches above my knee, sort of kicks out a bit. I love it, but think it will be nights out only.

Agree with cod though - look odd at home when take boots off.

In summer I wear long ones with flip flops, hate my bear legs.

BTW what is the rule for short skirts, is it never over the knee if over 30?
