I do most of the time, but sometimes I dont. and sometimes I sleep nekkid. depends what mood I'm in, how hot (temperature wise) I am and the like.

GeneCity · 24/05/2011 11:30

I do.

AlpinePony · 24/05/2011 12:02

Only if I'm going out to the shops! Wink

BerryLellow · 24/05/2011 12:04

upahill · 24/05/2011 12:34

(alpinepony)............or the school run!!! Grin

Northumberlandlass · 24/05/2011 12:48

No, never understood why you would....but like the others say, each to your own.

What I would like to be able to say is 'All I wear for bed is a smile'...but sadly that isn't true Grin

TobyLerone · 24/05/2011 12:54

I don't wear PJs in bed, but I change into them when I get home from work, as does my bf. We wear yoga pants and t-shirts. Always with pants underneath. And they're washed every day.

It's just too uncomfortable without knickers.

LawrieMarlow · 24/05/2011 13:00

I don't wear knickers under my pyjamas. Or nighty. And i don't wash my nightwear every day either

Lugsie · 24/05/2011 13:26

I don't wear knickers under my pjs - its more comfortable without!

CointreauVersial · 24/05/2011 13:29

Noooo. Pointless. Don't under nighties either. Let that toot toot breathe!

BornToFolk · 24/05/2011 13:30

Oooh, yes, have to wear knickers. Far more comfortable, somehow.

MrsRyanReynolds · 24/05/2011 14:16

No, I would never wear knickers in bed full stop.

It's just asking for thrush.

wotss · 24/05/2011 15:44

Yes, but never tight pants only loose comfy boxers as I had one of those mums who insisted on the importance of letting your bits breathe at night.

Often I just wear the boxers though, so on those occasions I can count myself those who only wear one layer...

The boxers never get worn more than once (I have a drawerful of them) but the jimjam trousers only get washed once a week. They are only for sleeping in though - I don't wear them round the house, so they don't get grubby.

Slubberdegullion · 24/05/2011 15:52

No.

But yes if you have threadworms.

PaperView · 24/05/2011 15:58

Yes i do.

kando · 24/05/2011 16:21

This is very weird. I was going to start a thread along very similar lines to this!

I too had a mum who used to say "let your bits breathe" but I feel too uncomfy not wearing knickers under my pjs or with a nighty. My dds also wear knickers in bed whether they are in pjs or nighties. (And I've only ever had thrush a handful of times in all the years I've been wearing knickers in bed!)

So: should my dds aged 10, 8 and 5) wear knickers in bed, or not?!

chrisonabike · 24/05/2011 16:24

WTF is a toot-toot residual? Confused

pinkbraces · 24/05/2011 16:29

If I sleep in PJ's I dont wear knickers, but I dont like sleeping in them, its to uncomfy, only do it if Im cold and DH hasnt come to bed yet, normally wake up in the middle of the night and take them off.

I have always told my DD now 16 to let her bits breathe, she wears knickers under PJ shorts if she is lolling round the house but takes knickers off to sleep in.

My mum also said bits should breathe.

PMSL at toot-toot residual :)

Insomnia11 · 24/05/2011 16:47

I do. I just don't like wearing no knickers at any time. I never wear itchy nylon pants though, cotton only. The idea being I don't have to change my pjs every night.

I only ever got thrush when I was on the Pill and had to take antibiotics in my late teens/early 20s.

usualsuspect · 24/05/2011 16:49

No

I like being knickerless

Brahbrah · 24/05/2011 20:16

Does anyone have a sensible rationale for why our 'bits' have to 'breathe'? I don't get it.

mrsravelstein · 24/05/2011 20:19

it has never occurred to me to wear knickers under my pjs. but i wear loose cropped shorts type style so not uncomfortable.

said · 24/05/2011 20:22

Don't you all get boiling hot wearing pjs in bed?

smartyparts · 24/05/2011 20:29

Only wear pjs sometimes when lounging about - never to bed.

It wouldn't occur to me to wear knickers too.

itsnicetobenice · 24/05/2011 20:34

no duds in bed under my jim jams, you must let your fanj breeeeeathe or you will get the song bird and such like smelly sweatyness and no man will want to come near me if he de garmented me and had a rush of hot heat smellyness from being wrapped up all night.
