I need a green/green patterned dress, I've looked at so many I've lost the will to live

I like the colour of this - but its hideous isn't it, or is it nice? - I can't tell

I also like this

also quite like

like this but its at the top of my price range, I'd prefer something a bit cheaper

Are they all awful? are any OK? are any fabulous? can you find me anything better. Please help before I lose my mind.

KurriKurri · 07/05/2011 20:16

There are some lovely dresses on the dp site but why are they all that daft short length ?

timetomove · 07/05/2011 22:05

Sorry to be nosey but why does it need to be green?

timetomove · 07/05/2011 22:09

Can't do links but there is one on the jigsaw website described as emerald called oriental silk print dress. Also a couple of others in khaki

nevergoogle · 07/05/2011 22:11

this?

FebreezeYourJeans · 07/05/2011 22:23

the ubiquitous Boden?

FebreezeYourJeans · 07/05/2011 22:24

and again

FebreezeYourJeans · 07/05/2011 22:26

and still more Boden

I have never linked to Boden before, fear I may need to gnaw my own limbs off in penance!

FebreezeYourJeans · 07/05/2011 22:27

and guess who?

KurriKurri · 07/05/2011 22:29

timetomove - it needs to be green because I like green, - thats it really I've set my little old lady heart on green Grin The jigsaw dress is beautiful - but beyond my budget unfortunately (and possibly a little on the short side for me

nevergoogle - I like that dress - apart from the pockets nice colour though.

it's in my 'watching' list on ebay. only telling you about it because it's you.
Shhhh. I'll have it if you don't want it. Smile

i got married in a green dress. i love green.

timetomove · 07/05/2011 22:39

As a good a reason as any! I like green too but quite fussy about the shade (prefer darker shades). Febreeze has linked to some Boden ones. The smart shift and Sicily spot ( which I do not think have been linked to yet) also comein green. There is a 20 per cent discount code kicking around.

tethersend · 07/05/2011 22:42

Here?

Here?

KurriKurri · 07/05/2011 22:51

Oh - I wouldn't pinch your dress nevergoogle Smile I love green too, I did see another lovely green dress on e-bay - but it was a bit low in the neckline for his occasion. I'll see if I can find it - you might like it.

I like the Sicily spot one timetomove, (couldn't find the shift one) there'sa lsoa nice crossover jersey dress, and a drapey jersey dress in greens which I quite like.

You've had a massive response KurriKurri, where do you go from here?

KurriKurri · 07/05/2011 23:20

I'm going to make a list, go out next week find any of the dresses that are in stores and try them on, that'll give me an idea of what looks good in term of shape etc. then I can bring in the online ideas and have a better idea of what I'd look like in them.

It has been a brilliant response, I'm very grateful for all your help - the only alternative is asking DH, who thinks he's paying me a compliment if he says 'that looks warm' Grin

Have no idea what I'm doing in S&B (I have neither) but here you go:

Fifties

Very green with bobbles

Not sure about the second tbh, the more I look at it the more the neckline looks like it's growing some sort of alien life-form. I realise I'm not really selling it to you with that comment.

KurriKurri · 07/05/2011 23:32

thanks blondepinhead, Fifties one is very pretty, I like the colour and style of the bobbly one - but like you I'm not sure why the bobbles are there (maybe they had a lot of spare fabric and didn't want to waste it Grin)
