Want to look GOOD by June 4th - that's just over a month. Please share your weight loss and toning tips

Back story is that I have just tried a week of pig to twig (Atkins type diet)

I feel horrific and haven't lost any weight. Kind of feel faint and my head feels very odd and I cannot face it any more. Just ate some boiled potatoes with olive oil and feel a bit stronger. I just don't think that diet is for me. I also slept very badly on it.

But... I want to look better in a month than I do now!

Despite moving house and working full time and having two DDs, I will try to find the time to do the 30 day shred plus I do walk 15 mins each way before getting on bus to the office. I wear MBTs even though they look horrible.

But it's the diet side of things that I get stuck on... If I deny myself something I then fantasise about it. I actually eat very healthily, and cook everything from scratch, don't have diet coke cravings or eat many sweet things. I get low blood sugar moments and have low blood pressure so anything too extreme and I faint or get ill (sounds very dramatic, maybe I'm just a wuss)...

Please share your successful dieting tips. I am 69 kilos and 5'6". I would like to be 59-60 kilos. I was 56 kilos before having DD1. Bloody hell.

It is absolutely what I put on the toast, butter all the way, no low fat spread in my house!

Was treated to lunch today, crab and chilli ravioli smothered in oils, it was super delicious but I sincerely hope my Shred DVD is there when I get home tomorrow, 6 weeks until I hit the beach, hopefully in a bikini.

Day 4 just done here too. I sort of enjoy it although I do end up thinking inane thoughts in the middle of it already e.g. are those real or fake skylights in the studio/ set?

I swear I'm seeing a very slight difference already.

I am much more motivated by the whole concept of a bit every day and it being only 30 days. I'm intrigued as to what impact it might have on my body too. I can see why this DVD is such a hit.

Jilian does make me laugh - 'chop chop ladies' Grin
Not sure I actually want a body like hers though (not that that's every going to happen anyway) I mean she's kind of muscular isn't she?

Have I killed the thread or has everyone collapsed after over-exerting themselves with Jillian?

Still no shredding here Carole but I did actually enjoy my run this morning which is a first (might have had something to do with Hyde Park in the sunshine).

Also just had to ask for a size 8 of the dress I was trying on in Reiss at the airport chuffed

carolemiddleclasston · 13/05/2011 22:08

Lucky you with the size 8!

Oops well I've missed doing the Shred today and it's only day 5. But I did it late last night and will do it tomorrow morning again.

HazedandConfused · 13/05/2011 23:27

Well I have to confess I have not shredded yet Blush

The first night by the time I had got kids to bed, cleared up the tea stuff and sorted out the bombsite that was our house (DH was out) it was way too late for jumping around.

Then was going to do it tonight but instead DH talked me into going for a run as it was sunny(ish) - so I may not have shredded but I did run for nearly 40 mins (surprised myself!!) and then did some situps, so can I be forgiven?

Will probably not be able to walk tomorrow as that's more exercise than I'd sometimes do in a week!

Could it be water retention? Do your clothes feel any looser?

I did have a similarly strange weight gain recently when I wasn't eating anything different and was working out (not Shred as hadn't started yet).

Sadly it hasn't gone altogether although I have lost all of a pound this week doing Shred.
