Have we had a thread to guess Kate's dress yet?

I'm so excited. I don't give a stuff about the pomp and ceremony and I won't be waving any flags or doing 'knees up Mother Brown' with my neighbours but I really want to talk about the dress. I think I know in my head what it will be like and I hope she doesn't let me down. It needs to be just the right amount of elegant/trad/plain, but with a cheeky soupcon of sexpot.

Let's play guess Katie's dress please.

She will err on the side of stuffiness and formality though... it's the done thing for an occasion of this magnitide IMHO...

OrangeBernard · 02/04/2011 23:05

She'll go all high necked and princess grace I reckon

MrsSeanBean · 02/04/2011 23:05

Yes I agree that is likely OrangeBernard.

Changechangechangeagain · 02/04/2011 23:05

she is so frumpy and dresses like a granny not someone under 30.

I imagine cream with lace- very very chavvy.

FellatioNelson · 02/04/2011 23:07

I looked at Princess Grace's dress the other day and I think it is a bit OTT and cluttered. If she goes high necked I hope she keeps it simpler.

I must say I loathe princess Diana's dress. What the bloody hell was that all about?

FellatioNelson · 02/04/2011 23:07

very chavvy? Confused I doubt it! I think she dresses really elegantly.

There's one similar to princess grace in that hello gallery that's a bit more modern

FellatioNelson · 02/04/2011 23:09

I know! It's like a four year old's party frock! Or angel on the christmas tree. I really loved Fergie's though - at the time.

PM looks like she's got a pillow down her bodice. Confused

this is nice and suitable

fellatio is pissed

GetOrfMoiLand · 02/04/2011 23:27

I can't work out whether we are fashion queens or simply deeply sad Grin

phooey · 02/04/2011 23:39

Something slim-fitting and simple, possibly lacy.

Something like this but with a lace bolero

Or this a bit more demure

Cathedral length veil def, not sure about hair though.

FellatioNelson · 02/04/2011 23:40

No, no drink whatsoever. Have to pick DS2 up from a party in a minute. Perhaps it's sobriety that's the problem. Grin

Oh god poor you - I hate that saturday night teenage child collection duty.

Thank god dd was bored at a party tonight, so went to pick her up at half 9.

I will have a glass of wine on your behalf Smile

GetOrfMoiLand · 02/04/2011 23:43

I do like that second one phooey - I don't go much for lacy dresses but that is lovely.

FellatioNelson · 02/04/2011 23:43

Oh yes - x-posts, I see now it was the Queen with the pillow-chest. PM's is much more acceptable.

ivykaty44 · 03/04/2011 00:00

phooey I like your second dress Smile I could see her in that with sleeves

mathanxiety · 03/04/2011 00:48

This is demure and this is even demurer. This might be nice, with Kate in it obv. Or this...

GetOrfMoiLand · 03/04/2011 00:51

ooh math that last one is lovely.

Kate, Kate - are you there?

FellatioNelson · 03/04/2011 00:53

Yes math! You are understanding me completely! No 2 was my fave out of that lot but they were all gorgeous.
