New thread here!

I wish someone would buy me a kindle so I could read historical romances with abandon!

Welcome haricot, great name and great links. I love the jumper and the dress but wtf colour is jodhpur? Probably cream right? I may have to head to Chester and find out this week. And with the Hush dress, I wonder if you can hoik it, or if it is yet another low waisted dress, of which there are hundreds this season. It has the most perfect sleeves for me.

Glad the party went well marsha. Me and DH have similar discussion, but they tend to be of the 'never again' sort.

Probably wise decision there carciofi.

Glad you're feeling better ants. Thanks for the link but I avoid puffed sleeves like the plague! I look ridiculous in them.

Well they've cancelled the rugby tomorrow now, but we're going out for the day regardless. It is an area of Wales that I'm unfamiliar with, but is known as the Cornwall of Wales. Great coves and beaches that will be nice to explore. Then tea with my brother. Looking forward to it.

apuski am reading Faro's Daughter. Very good so far. Have you read any Philipa Gregory?

AntPants1 · 02/04/2011 17:21

Oh and welcome to haricot !

AntPants1 · 02/04/2011 17:22

bloss not too puffy I promise. But understand if you are wary! Enjoy tomorrow. Sounds lovely.

MarshaBrady · 02/04/2011 17:22

haha Bloss. And like the party avoidance Apuski

I laughed at the entertainer guy and drank bubbles. Last year was a bomb going off mess, this year quite totally relaxed. The difference - An entertainer!! highly recommend it.

(pm me if you are interested in using the guy. I'll let you know what he is like and does etc Grin)

blossoming · 02/04/2011 17:33

I've ordered the Hush dress [shame]. Purely on the strength of the sleeve.

MarshaBrady · 02/04/2011 18:33

Bloss which is the Hush dress (probably here and keep scrolling past!)

ApuskiDusky · 02/04/2011 18:53

Bloss I love my kindle but bloody hell it's far too easy to buy books on it.

I have a few ebay things finishing tonight and it's looking good so far. I love the last couple of hours!

Meant to say apuski, good luck with the auctions. I did so well last month, I'm racking my brains for similar stuff for this month! I think I'm cleaned out though.

Another quick post from hotel bar. Grey asymmetric dress on. Cocktail in hand....

redllamayellowllama · 02/04/2011 20:32

Hello ladies - glad to hear MOAMU was so very successful, sounds fabulous.

Have been deeply involved in the purchase of our new house and then getting involved with the selling of this one (which is my Mum's, but she is burying her head in the sand about having to sell/rent it out now she is permanently abroad - is the least I can do to organise it, but is proving to be difficult because of eveyone's emotional attachment to the family home).

New house is fab, but hasn't been touched since the 50's so needs lots of knocking out of walls and complete re-decoration. Am very engrossed in interior design porn.

We're off to Cape Town on Friday and I am so very excited - can't wait to see my Mum and 'Oma' with the DC's.

Love the Hush dress, but is too similar to the FC one to warrant buying it.

Carciofi was very Hmm on your behalf about the baby clothes and have taken heed and marked a load of maternity and newborn bits I'm passing on to a friend. I always get silently annoyed about these things but can't bear confrontation.

Tomorrow sounds like a lovely day Bloss, hope you enjoy it.

Apuski, how was the feedback from your interviews?

redllamayellowllama · 02/04/2011 20:36

Exhausted, love every so gle one of your links - I have a Breton from Whistles that has lasted and lasted. I remember reading an interview with Jane Shepherdson where she talked about how important Bretons are a wardrobe. It showed the Breton shelf of her wardrobe which was quite something; 40 odd I think.

Red - you've got a house! How exciting - let me know when you move down here and we could do a little meet-up.

I now have keys to new house and am up to my ears in house magazines and men coming round to quote.

But am still obviously being very avid and actually off to Westfield tomorrow for a Mother's day treat with friend and minus our children Wink

Dolcee - any news on houses?

Bloss - did you see the Thomas Pink red shirt dress?

Have worn my olive houlihans a million times already and now want the olympia ones - oh and sizing wise - I don't like them too tight on me personally so went for normal j brand size.

blossoming · 02/04/2011 21:15

Hi mrscb, I did but worried about sleeve length. So exciting re house and you too redllama. Enjoy Westfield. You've made me even more determined to save for houlihans now!

MrsCampbellBlack · 02/04/2011 21:18

Bloss - I got mine courtesy of Carciofi's brilliant link and additional discount from revolve.

House is fab - views are just amazing and children just adore it and keep running round the garden in a very excited manner.

We move next week but DH busy so it'll be me directing the removal men and children - oh I just can't wait Hmm

Glad you've got to completion without any hitches MrsCB, you must be thrilled! Little meet-up would be lovely, we're hoping to complete very quickly (deceased estate, so it's possible) and get the major stuff done before coming down in July/August. Am champing at the bit.

My Uniqlo skinny cargos have already seen so much wear that I am cimntemplating Houlihans. I've got rather muscular calves though and worry they'll look awful. Need to try some.

HaricotVert · 02/04/2011 21:34

Cape town sounds great Redlama, friends went there recently - were v tanned, happy and amazed in a good way.
O, like cocktails, what is the favourite to start and finish evening?
Me- cosmopolitan/manhattan
watching Social Network now...

ApuskiDusky · 02/04/2011 21:40

Brilliant news on the houses MrsCB and red (red, keeping my fingers crossed it all goes through smoothly). Red, my interview was with a recruitment consultant, but she's putting me forward for two jobs (both Brizzle) so will see what happens in the next few weeks. Have a brilliant holiday!

Am feeling slightly Blush because I have just sold a dress on ebay for £25 more than it cost me. Ah well, it's a lovely dress!

blossoming · 02/04/2011 22:28

Great apuski!
I'm really pleased for you both mrscb and red. hope you'll be back posting regularly when things settle.
