LOL! I'm sure I remember those the first time round Smile

MmeLindt · 28/03/2011 11:14

I was looking at them last week and it is only the thought of my DH calling me Sister Magdalena that is stopping me ordering them.

pinkytheshrinky · 28/03/2011 11:15

ewwwww - jesus creepers...... that is beyond retro!

FrancesFarmer · 28/03/2011 11:15

I bought the tan ones recently and I love them.

The white ones featured in this month's Elle btw - that's where I got the idea.

PorkChopSter · 28/03/2011 11:16

Oh, they are nice!

FollowMe · 28/03/2011 11:16

I am not young or cool enough to wear those without looking frumpy!
they would look fab on some of my (very cool and funky clothed) friends though

FrancesFarmer · 28/03/2011 11:17

^
I wear them with short skirts and dresses or with jeans to avoid the Sister Magdalena look, Mme Lindt.

Not to be worn with this season's midi skirts, I would think.

PrettyCandles · 28/03/2011 11:18

Oh I wanted a pair of those for sooooo long - until about 10y ago. Too late for me now.

Fimbo · 28/03/2011 11:20

Ooh Jesus sandals. I used to have them in navy blue for school about 30 odd years ago Grin.

messylittlemonkey · 28/03/2011 11:24

I know.

I've umm-ed and ahh-ed for a while but am hoping to make them look cool rather than frumpy - it is a fine line though!

I'm thinking nice toe nail varnish, tanned legs and certain skirts, jeans (as MmeLindt says) and I should be ok.

I'm 36 by the way.

gah now THAT is what I want for my children, but can i get them anywhere? no

just plain buckle up sandals.
meh

messylittlemonkey · 28/03/2011 11:25

Beg your pardon, FrancesFarmers, it was you who recommended the skirts and jeans, not MmeLindt

OP posts:
bigmouthstrikesagain · 28/03/2011 11:27

OOOOh they would look lurvely with a nice pair of thick navy socks Wink

Actually I do like them but I don't think I would carry them off with ironic insouciant cool just orthopedic vibes (nearly 37 y'see).

ChrissyHynde · 28/03/2011 11:27

No sorry couldn't wear them myself they're jesus sandles that you had when your were 6!!

messylittlemonkey · 28/03/2011 11:28

It is indeed all about the ironiv insouciant cool, bigmouth

bigmouthstrikesagain · 28/03/2011 11:30

Sorry messy - we are contempories Blush- I will need photgraphic evidence to be convinced I could wear them though - especially with my footballers legs...

MooMooFarm · 28/03/2011 11:32

Ew - I don't think these are retro - they've never stopped selling them in Littlewoods Catalogue have they? Grin

MikeRotch · 28/03/2011 11:34
