Indulge me please - how old do I look to you?

People tell me (unprompted) I don't look my age but I'm never sure whether they are being polite or if not what age they think I am. How old would you have said I look? My pic is on my profile and I'm wearing tinted moisturizer if that helps.

I think having a big age gap between me and DH makes me a bit conscious about it Blush

Could we have details of your skincare/make up/diet etc please? Grin

madammecholet · 16/03/2011 21:41

36 Annie

BsshBossh · 16/03/2011 21:41

I think you do look like 45 but only because I'm 40 and also look "younger" and most of my friends of the same age also look "younger" - that's what people keep saying to us so now I associate "middle age" as young looking. So you do look 45 even though many/most people think you look younger. I think a great number of women in their 40s look younger these days.

BsshBossh · 16/03/2011 21:41

Sorry about all the italics Hmm.

Cicatrice · 16/03/2011 21:42

Goodness, I wouldn't have guessed 45!

Baileysismyfriend · 16/03/2011 21:42

32 Annie

BsshBossh · 16/03/2011 21:43

Annie - late 30s.

bonkers20 · 16/03/2011 21:44

First glance I thought you looked late 20s, but on squinting up close I see a few wrinkles so I'm now going for mid to late 30s.
You're very pretty.

notyummy · 16/03/2011 21:46

Annie- 35

ShowOfHands · 16/03/2011 21:47

Aah Annie I was going to say not much older than me. Early thirties ish.

Don't worry too much. As you can see we're crap at guessing. And some days I look in the mirror and see my mother. Grin

you both look 64

winnybella · 16/03/2011 21:48

And me, please? Although I'm tiny on my pic, so you can't see very well.

ShowOfHands · 16/03/2011 21:50

Annie . You're pretty. No wrinkles so clearly still pretty young and your dd is just lovely. I LOVE her hair.

yousankmybattleship · 16/03/2011 21:51

Oh dear, don't want to offend, but you've asked, so I would say early forties. You look lovely by the way!

BeatRoute · 16/03/2011 21:51

Winnybella - 26

sharbie · 16/03/2011 21:54

annie 42

winny 32

BelligerentGhoul · 16/03/2011 21:55

Winnie - you look about 17! :) I recognise your face - did you have a hair style question a little while ago?

caramelwaffle · 16/03/2011 21:55

Winnybella - you look like one of those models that they pick for BritainGotModellingTalentWhateverItIsCalled and I'd say 24-26

ShowOfHands · 16/03/2011 21:56

Winny you look NOTHING like I expected. But same age as me ish I reckon. 30ish. Definitely not much older than that. You look very striking.

spiralqueen · 16/03/2011 21:56

Bssh Think you're right - woman are looking much younger than they used to - and often look younger than men of the same age.

Annie I'm useless at guessing ages hence the question but the estimates that were close to my age seem to point to my eyes and I can't see any ageing there so I would guess 30's.

Chesspiece My RL friends would be choking with laughter at the thought of me having any kind of regime. Can't see the point in dieting as people seem to end up heavier than they started. Rarely wear makeup - only on my 6th ever tube of foundation. Shove some moisturizer on when I remember but have never been sufficiently disciplined to get into the whole cleanse, tone, moisturize thing. Have spent a lot of time ice skating though - perhaps the ice has been preserving me? Grin
