Those of you with pierced noses...,

...does it matter which side?
Any hints and tips as to where on the nose it should be done or what I should wear in the hole?

i had mine done with a gun stooopid yrs ago, and it developed into a lovely infected addition.

took it out after a week it was awful.

i had the top of my ear done at a proper piercing studio and the same thing happened. agony. i dont think my body likes to be pierced.

do it!!! even if you change your mind in a while it heals up mega fast. do it!

I've got mine pierced on the right side. I wear a small diamond stud and no butterfly. I bought a platinum set one cos I kept losing the glued in gems and it was so annoying.

I'm now hugely tempted to open mine up again - I got fed up with stabbing myself in the septum.

Mine's on the left & was done by an 18 year old who used to work for me, by the simple expedient of manually ramming a piercing stud through. It was fine...

I've had it done on both sides in the past but now just have a piercing in the left hand side. I wear plain ball studs or diamonte ones for work. When I go out socially I sometimes wear a ring.

I pierced it myself when I was drunk using a carpet tack not really recommended but it worked for me lol.

Meant to add, I just buy normal studs for ears and bend the post into an L shape. Never had a problem with it falling out or stabbing my septum.

I had mine done in the 80's when I was a Goth. It was done by a professional but my mom still went ape shit at me

RH side in the dip. Wore a stud and sometimes a ring.

Unfortunately I had a slight accident with the ring back in the 90's and haven't wore nasal jewellery since.

When I first got mine done at 16, my mum said 'oh nice' and promptly went and got her's done.
Not quite the response I was looking for! I did however, go on and get 2 rings in the other side - copy that mother- all 3 have now closed up .

Another right sider here. It just felt like that's where it should be. Go to a decent piercing place and they will know exactly where on the nose it should go and will mark it with a pen first. Had mine done 12 years ago, not with a gun though. Oh, and something I didn't think about...it does actually hurt and brought tears to my eyes! Not to put you off, just so you can go more prepared!!
