Photo on my profile.

It's always been thin, but after last pg it's so much worse.

I used to wear it long and also had a Louise Brooks bob and it was dyed v.dark brown.
Now it's natural color-light brown.

Need to get a cut. Fringe? Short bob? Just a trim?

Thanks Smile

No probs, fringe would probably not be a good idea then

31 IS young!

I'm 31 if you hadn't guessed Grin

winnybella · 17/02/2011 20:47

Oh, I know it's young, I just still haven't got over the shock of starting my 4th decade on earth. And various saggy and crepey bits make me feel older if that makes sense.

Yes, will post an after photo on Saturday Smile

You've made me feel old by saying 4th decade Shock

winnybella · 17/02/2011 20:57

It's true, though Grin
Somehow in your twenties you're not really aware of time passing by...at least I wasn't.

Thirties are supposed to be the best time of your life, though, chin up!

I was never worried about turning 30, turning 32 isn't bothering me either but it's creeping up now and soon it'll be the 5th decade, eek! Shock Shock

I will keep my chin firmly up Grin

May I let you into my secret. Rollers. Hear me out. They give my hair more volume and a realy chic look. It does take time to learn to use them, but the results are great.

winnybella · 17/02/2011 22:02

Rollers.

Hmm.

Do I keep them in overnight?

Keep talking.

OP posts:
jollydiane · 17/02/2011 23:26

I have only ever used heated rollers. Wash you hair, dry it with a hair drier and then put heated rollers in for about 10 minutes.

It does take time to learn how to do it (I have been using them since I was 15) Blush

jollydiane · 17/02/2011 23:34

Somthing like this

itsalarf · 18/02/2011 08:19

Ok, some pictures. How about this
or this
or this
or this one

winnybella · 18/02/2011 14:40

The second one is quite nice.

I'm not sure I have it in me to go so short.

Decisions, decisions...

Thanks, jolly- might think about it. Looks good, in fact.

DukesOfTripHazard · 18/02/2011 20:57

Chin length bob with side parting for you, I think.

winnybella · 18/02/2011 21:27

Yes, that's what I think as well. Hopefully will find the time to go tomorrow.

You're really doll-like, your skin is gorgeous! I think elfin crop!

UrsulaBuffay · 18/02/2011 22:17

Instead of the rollers, think about a babyliss big hair

aLegonEachCorner · 19/02/2011 17:51

You have a pretty, elfin face. You have cheekbones!

I'd go short at the back and longer, with a sweep fringe (slightly "scruffy" parting) and maybe, if you can afford it, a little colour. The colour/high or lowlights will help to give body and movement to the cut, if it's done well. Make it look thicker.

Pregnancy does take it out of the skin/hair/teeth!

Silkflowersanne · 20/02/2011 00:17

I cut mine off short and LOVE it, try it and see how you feel, my pics are on my profile. let us know what you do!!

winnybella · 20/02/2011 00:22

Silk- you look lovely with short hair!

aLeg- yes, that's the idea. Not sure whether to go blonder or darker, though Confused

Didn't go today as have an essay due on Tuesday and still lots of reading and writing to do so haven't had time. Will try on Monday.

Winnybella, how old is your baby? I lost a lot of hair when my children were born but when they were exactly six months old, it started to come back. (It felt like a crew cut under my hair!) I spoke to the doctor about it with my first child as I'd lost such a lot and she told me it would be okay after six months, and it was.

winnybella · 20/02/2011 00:35

Sadly, she's 2 Hmm Grin

Tbh, I think it's been exacerbated by stress and not always eating very well. Also DD is still bf 2-3 times a day- I wonder if that can also have some effect- as lots of nutrients will be going into bm and since I'm not really eating enough veg etc it may leave not many for me if that makes sense?

mathanxiety · 20/02/2011 06:08

Have you ever had your thyroid checked?

This looks like one that might suit thinner hair if you kept it layered on top. I would go for a reddish tinge.

UrsulaBuffay · 20/02/2011 12:31

Have we had the Frankie from the Saturdays cut suggested? Short but with length at front so you don't feel too bare iyswim.
