Hi, been lurking around for a while...I've got a party to go to in a few weeks and need some ideas please! I'm 5f3, size 10 but look a 12!Huge bingo wings, saggy boobs, bigish tummy/love handles, huge calves! Don't have much going for me really, face ok, boobs ok in a good bra!Smallest part is just under my boobs so I was thinking maybe this top or this kind of style with wide leg trousers and heels? Fed up of going out and feeling like I'm not dressed for my shape IYSWIM. I like the blue or mulit-coloured...I also always wear head to toe black and think I need some colour for a change! I'm 29.

find the page

go to the address bar - it's at the top. starts http

right click

copy

come back to the box here where you type a post

do this [ [ but without a gap between each [

right click right next to it and click paste

the http etc will appear

leave one space

then type in a word or two

then type ] ] but without a gap between each ]

and you have a link

so no gap http etc one space here is the link

KnottyLocks · 14/02/2011 17:58

Is it on here?

tethersend · 14/02/2011 18:00

Link here

Right, two things:

  1. I can't believe how you see yourself- 5'3" and a size 10 is fine, no way can you be the garden gnome you've just described! I bet you've a lot more 'going for you' than you think. In fact, I bet you are quite beautiful and just cannot see it Smile
  1. I do not like the blouses. Sorry.
KnottyLocks · 14/02/2011 18:03

Ok, I'm 5ft 3 and a size 10/12.

I'm not over-confident but know I'm not big! Therefore, you aren't too. Smile

HecateQueenOfWitches · 14/02/2011 18:04

if it is the bright blue ruffly thing - then, imo, it's horrible.

I can't see anyone being able to look good in that monstrosity.

Trina82 · 14/02/2011 18:05

Thank you, I still can't get it to work.

Tethersend- I know I'm not 'that bad' but I don't want to go out and people think...god she should cover up them arms/legs etc! I just thought I'd point out what bits I'm not keen on incase someone has got any idea's.

Yes it's the blur ruffly job...what did u think?x

OP posts:
HettyAmaretti · 14/02/2011 18:06

Yes, the blue one is totally revolting, as is the multi one.

Tethers is always right, listen to her Wink

Trina82 · 14/02/2011 18:08

LOL...Witches, thank you...thats where I am going wrong then! Do you have any ideas for me? I'm open to all suggestions...Haven't felt 'nice' for a long time! Would love DP to say Wow!

Trina82 · 14/02/2011 18:09

Have a very tight budget, could prob spend £70 whole outfit. Am I pushing it?!

OP posts:
KnottyLocks · 14/02/2011 18:20

What's your colouring? What colours suit you and what do we need to avoid?

KnottyLocks · 14/02/2011 18:24

How do feel about a dress?

polyhymnia · 14/02/2011 18:25

It is truly horrible - I'm sure all the stylish people here will be able to suggest something much classier and more flattering - after all, at an enviable Size 10 you have the widest possible range of things to choose from.

Trina82 · 14/02/2011 18:26

Hair is v blonde, skin not too pale, I think i'm hourglass/pear, with sausages at bottom Grin. I suppose I suit most colours, apart from ivory/cream make me look really washed out. I did like the blue of that top...maybe I didn't see the hideous ruffles Wink!

OP posts:
Trina82 · 14/02/2011 18:29

I don't want to seem fussy! I like dresses, I wore one a while ago and when I looked back at some pictures I looked awful, but realise it just hung from my shoulders was prob too short and showed all my worst bits! I prefere trousers and a nice top, but a dress will prob work out cheaper. most of the people going to this party are my kind of age but really trendy and suit it..I think I've just ost my way with the clothes thing...prefere to dress my kids up nice!

OP posts:
rubyhorse · 14/02/2011 18:40

What about Bravissimo clothes? They don't have a wide range, so you may not like what's in stock, but I'm like you in that my best feature is just below the bust, and they're really, really flattering.

Lots of black in at the moment, though - some more colours in the sale section.

tethersend · 14/02/2011 19:30

Ok, so you like blue?

How about this?

Or this?

Or this?

Or this?

tethersend · 14/02/2011 19:35

Or this?

Trina82 · 14/02/2011 19:54

They are all lovely tethers. I think I might feel a bit over dressed though. I'm more of a nice jeans/top combo girl...but then thats where I might be going wrong, I saw a nice chiffony cardi thing in new look that I thought I could wear with a belt to pull it all in and some Bootcut/skinny flare jeans with wedges...I'll see if I can link the top, doesn't look very nice online though. I was thinking of trying the bo-ho kind of look..is that still in????!
