Would you wear Converse All Star (style) shoes

I have always loved Converse All Star style shoes but my younger sister and little boy live in them in the summer. I have always been put off thinking I would be to old (even though I'm only 25) and look silly in them .

I have lived all winter in jeggings and leggings with denim skirts with Doc Marin boots laced half way with ribbon.The converse would look good with my clothes (not so sure about my size 7 big feet) but I keep thinking Im a 'punk/rock/biker women' not a 'skater girl'.

Do any other mums on here wear Converse All Star's?

I wear the plimsole ones, not the boot version and I am (does quick calculation... yes) old enough to be your mother :o

I am post 40 and I wear black converse all starts boots every day for work.
If you like them, wear them. That is the only rule you should follow.

I have two pairs and on the very rare occasion I wear jeans, that is what I wear them with. You're not too old at all, don't be silly!

Most Mums I know wear them every day, all ages. They are the most comfortable and practical thing to wear I think, especially when you have small kids.

I've got the boot ones and I've lived in them since I got them!! They go with anything, leggings and dresses, jeans, jogging bottoms - everything!! They're wash really well as well, I chuck mine in the wash at the end of the month and they come up like new.

I'm 33 and wear the black boots for work and I also have pink ones and white/yellow double uppers.

I'm 47 and wear either my all black ones or my silver leather ones (acouple of years ago from Office - love them) for work or with jeans. Always Converse though - never fakes.

I am 45 and I have 4 pairs

I wear them all the time, much to the disgust of my teeange dd who has just "discovered" them

She rolls her eyes when I tell her that I have been wearing them since before she was born !

No fakes...only real Converse will do

I hink you need a certain "look" to get away with it though...stay away from the bootcut jeans or anything else that is too tailored

they are meant to be very casual

40 years old and still loving my Converse. My DCs and DH wear them too. In fact, we are going shoe shopping this morning for DCs but may pop across to Office and pick myself up a new pair......perhaps Navy although would quite like some metallic ones.

I got some when I was about 25, the first pair I'd had since I was 11. 80-odd year old grandfather was impressed and told me that he used to have some exactly the same when he was a basketball player in his youth

Have several pairs, various styles and colours and am, and I don't need my abacus for this, old enough to be your mother.

I'm 32 and I don't care!

I'm 35 and wear them with everything. I don't feel particularly skater girl when I wear them. Round here nearly every other mother wears them.

I'm 27 and own three pairs. On a particularly adventurous day I wear odd ones

And I have a pair to complement the pushchair.

Love my cons, I haven't owned another pair of casual shoes since I was 18.

I am 27 and have 7 pairs and I wear a pair everyday - couldnt live without them and am currently stressing how many I can get away with packing when we go away at Easter.

I too am old enough to be your mother and I have a pair of converse trainers - brown, cream and blue suede ones.

I'm 41 and I wear converse style Lee Cooper denim ones with my jeans (refuse on principle to wear Converse since I saw SamCam wearing them )

I've seen plenty of punky rock chicks wearing converse though - specially the original Chuck Taylor AllStar black hightop ones

I have a bright red pair,a grey pair and some camouflage ones too .....im 36.

I wear mine with skinny-flare jeans, is this acceptable? I am 37....

They are blimmin bad for you though, the sole is too thin to offer proper arch support. See, now I sound old
