she dropped it outside my house and went home without it. i retrieved it from a puddle and washed it for her. it would seem i wasn't careful enough, scarf felted and sister now very annoyed

So, I am now trying to replace it for her but all i know is that she got it from a shop in King's Road, London. Its mostly green. It has been double knitted so the design is different on each side. On the front there are small diamonds in greens and black. On the back there are larger diamonds in the same colours

Knowing my sister it was expensive Hmm

Please help, I've tried searching myself but can't find anything like it

thanks in advance

ps i know this is the wrong section but if anyone happens to find a pattern to knit one then that would be great too!

wahwah..really? you sound like you've got connections! Do you know The A Team?
i'll try and get a photo whilst she's at work tomorrow, thank you!

bertina i agree!
my original reply was 'no way she could ever have a dog because she'd lose that too' but didn't want to supply ammunition against my sister!

ahh, I wasn't really laying into your sister Hippy, just saying that you were a nice sister to be going to all this trouble when you were just helping her out...

hopefully you will be able to find the scarf for her.

I think it's a nice gesture to replace scarf but if it's not easy to track down the same one then I think a voucher or similar (for the price of a reasonable scarf Shock Grin) would be an equally nice placatory gesture.

After all, it's heading towards spring now so she may appreciate the chance to get something new instead.

HippyHippopotamus · 10/02/2011 17:07

whoneedssleep its ok, i know you weren't but others were suggesting i should burn a scarf in her garden, calling her a cow etc I did check earlier that i hadn't posted this in AIBU!

unless wahwahwah's magic wand is working tomorrow and she finds the same one for me, i'm going to knit her a scarf that will be similar and hopefully she'll be pleased i ruined her original scarf because my version will mean more to her for being hand-made HmmGrin

wincy good point about heading towards spring though...

We need a pic. Someone will know. Do nit underestimate the power of Mumsnet. And the fact that you could look at the label...

berri · 11/02/2011 15:21

HippyHippopotamus · 11/02/2011 16:29
