designer jeans for short people

I have always hankered after a pair of Seven, or similar, designer jeans - but being only 5' 4" (and a size 12/14) have never managed to try on a pair that wasn't way too long. So I always end up buying Per Una Roma bootcut jeans which are a good, flattering fit on my typically English middle-aged body. But boring.

Longing for something a bit more glamorous and flattering.

Please can someone give me some helpful advice - don't mind paying quite a lot as I wear jeans to work every day so the cost-per-wear would be quite low.

ps I realise they are not designer but with jeans the fit is the most important thing surely? You could find nicer denim than Topshop but for £40 the quality is mighty fine. My maternity jeans were so gorgeous to touch I kept stroking them!

look for cropped versions. i'm 5'2 and my favourite skinny's at the moment are paige pegged skyline and current/elliot crops. check the online sales. or just go to a good alteration shop and get them turned up professionally. levis offer this service for free
