Bunners, M&S shoeboots are surprisingly comfortable, but heel is much skinnier than the ones you linked to this week. More eve than day wear, I would think.

hellsbelles · 23/01/2011 12:50

Tracey - it so very well could have been me watching that...but for once it wasn't!

DS is lolling about and not allowing me to MN!

notyummy · 23/01/2011 13:36

On iPhone so can't post properly. Just wanted to say to Fritzi that MrY has plenty of flaws!!

AntPants1 · 23/01/2011 13:55

vin if you use code LN9Q you will get 15% off and free postage. I love their straight leg jeans and also their straight cotton trousers.

LetThemEatCake · 23/01/2011 14:49

Yes was over a year for me too Marsha! About 2 months after cessation if bf. Weirder still, after dd it came back while fully bf, just one and then pg again Blush Was slightly worried that I may end up tandeming toddler and newborn which I did NOT like the thought of! But she self weaned at 10months, when I was 3 months pg, phew!

OllieWollieWoo · 23/01/2011 15:11

Gah! No iphone - went to TMobile shop, decided on tariff etc, inputted details and was then told there was a system failure so to go back tomorrow! So, so close!

Re grey Janice, I'm sure someone on here once said they already had a grey one which came out before the navy one. Wonder if they are bringing it back? I'm tempted to ring them tomorrow to ask!

mrsjuan · 23/01/2011 15:21

Grin at the collective mindset of W&A: Clara was on my list for DD and whilst looking at the list again for my sister a few weeks ago I put a massive star by it to use next time.

I was also thinking yesterdat that getting pregnant would be a good way to avoid trying to get rid of stomach fat!

Vin - the yellow dress is beautiful and I like the way you're thinking of wearing it and for such a good cause. Could we all wear yellow that day too & donate to it??

NY - sounds like a wonderful weekend. When is your personal shopping thingy? Hope I haven't missed you telling us about it.

I realised today that I have returned all the clothes I have bought so far this year - does that make me the most wise or the least avid?

Millie1 · 23/01/2011 15:40

Jumping in with a non-fashion question for you London ladies, if you don't mind? Can anyone recommend a central London hotel suitable for a family with four children .... Which doesn't cost an absolute fortune please?! We're going over for 4-5 nights in June, will obviously need two rooms (preferably adjoining) and would ideally like a 4 but everything we look up is around £200 per room, per night - I guess it's the going rate but we get a good 5in Ireland for less than that! Anyway, all suggestions welcome. We stayed in Le Meridien Piccadilly last time but only with one child- it was superb and a great location.

Thanks Smile

Glad your voice is better everything. DD adores skype - thinks her auntie lives in the laptop and was very surprised last time she saw her in real life! She's unreliable with the phone - sometimes talks but more often just nods or shakes her head and hangs up Grin

Still plenty of time to buy stuff before February. Has anyone else got the h&m catalogue? Some quite nice summery things in there.

Zembo · 23/01/2011 17:51

In agony again stuck at a kids birthday party in too much pain to drive home. Waiting for DH to come to the rescue from Leeds. Doesn't sound right does it loobey!!!

hellsbelles · 23/01/2011 17:54

Zembo Sad - no it doesn't - how long has the pain lasted for? I wonder if you have an infection? Are you going to A&E? My pain would be bad but a strong nurofen would relieve it eventually...so it sounds very different.

zembo-I was just online- strange coincidence. Sitting here packing some items I sold on ebay and switched over to MN for a quick update!
I'm not quite sure what your sx are exactly but it wouldn't be usual to be in agony post mc, no. Do you want to PM me?

zembo, I hope you are feeling okay, this must be very scary as well as distressing and painful. Will you see an out of hours GP tonight, do you think?

Tracey, have got the gypsy weddings on Sky+, ready to enjoy when DH plays poker tomorrow. You know me so well!

carciofi · 23/01/2011 18:44

Vin I think a three page CV is fine if it is all relevant, better than leaving vital info off. I like the red skirt. Please do post details of the charity as I would like to donate.

Glad you like the name Clara. I hope DH doesn't change his mind because I am very keen on it. I would like a DS too but definitely not having any more!

Verity, yes, I heard Cowan resigned as leader of Fianna Fáil. My dad and brother are still in business, just about! They left for NZ yesterday It is incredible how much things have changed in Ireland. I am reading David McWilliam's new book at the moment, very interesting.

Zembo, sorry you are feeling so bad.

Ants, so sorry about your baby.

Glad you had a good night, Bloss. I am embarrassed to admit that I also ordered a different bed, the delivery time was too slow so have ordered an antique brass bed. We are still on a mattress on the floor so it can't come soon enough!

Decided against the skull scarf, maybe a Crumpet scarf in Feb.

OllieWollieWoo · 23/01/2011 18:52

Zembo - so sorry that you are in so much pain. Agree with the others about getting it check asap. It just doesn't sound right.
Pickled sorry about the Star dress but sounds like you trust your DH's judgement which is nice. DH hates anything (in his opinion) 'new' eg still wrinkles his nose as puffed sleeves or shoeboots!

I really felt I needed a new top last night (meal at neighbours) - something not too smart (or too casual!) to wear with skinnies and heels. Found this on the P8 website - navy top Is it new? Anyone seen in RL? Anyone like? Smile.

Bloss is it you who isn't keen on exposed zips or have I just made that up?! Sorry if so - just had a W&A flashback!!!

AntPants1 · 23/01/2011 18:53

Thanks carciofi

AntPants1 · 23/01/2011 19:04

vin am a bog standard 39 and Boden shoes seem to fit fine on me.

Was it you who linked to a crumpet scarf on the Harvey Nics websit? I got one and I love it. So soft.

FritziGreenEyes · 23/01/2011 19:09

zembo Hope you are home by now and tucked up in bed. Can you get a scan tomorrow morning?

mrsjuan I have already ordered from new H&M catalogue but only basics for DD. I also got the black and white butterfly dress but I'm not sure if strapless really suits me or if it just feels odd as I have never worn that style of dress before. Will try it on again tomorrow and probably send it back.

ollie Not sure about the sleeves on the P8 top. Looks like it is thinner fabric than the rest on the top with some sort of lighter lining. I love my iPhone, hope you get yours soon!

vin Complete the application and reward yourself with yellow Boden shoes Grin.

millie We always stay here whenever we are in London with DD. Location is very convenient for public transport and there is a Pret, Starbucks, some restaurants and supermarket in the same street.

redllamayellowllama · 23/01/2011 19:15

Zembo, so sorry to hear you're in so much pain. Hope that referral can be done quickly and everything fully checked out.

OWW the p8 top is really lovely and fits your brief perfectly.

Vin, I love the good wife and you're the first person I've 'met' who also watches it.

NY sounds like a fantastic itinerary for your weekend, hope you enjoyed it.

Really liked the colourful, shameless bit of River Island promo in todays's Style magazine. Am particularly taken with the idea of bright skinnies.

notyummy · 23/01/2011 19:19

Hi all! Hope you have had good weekends. Am rather hungover and now frantically trying to prep for a week including 2 job interviews, a lot of travelling and a big set of leaving drinks. I have read the thread, but not properly ingested all, so I am sorry for anyone I have left out!

Zembo - Am so sorry to hear that you are in so much pain. As others have said, it doesn't sound right, and I hope you get treated as soon as possible.

LTEC - I hope you had a good time last night!

Tracey - I am sure you are not fat. I hope you are feeling better though!

blossoming - - Hope you are feeling better too!

Well, I did have a lovely weekend. Had a good time last night in some rather wagtastic locations, and leopard maxi was admired. Combination of champagne and cocktails meant I was feeling no pain on return to the hotel Grin Gym session this morning helped chase some of it away though.

Was v good shopping wise, as there were some great shops. Bought 2 lovely dresses for DD in the HoF sale, and some books...and that was IT!

FritziGreenEyes · 23/01/2011 19:23

ollie Do you have Esprit in the Netherlands? Maybe this top could work?
