Dog walking date. what on earth do i wear?

tookoolforskool · 06/01/2011 12:11

Ive a date on the weekend, walking our dogs.
Great - or not so much.

Its going to be muddy, ive already pre warned him about my wellies, which are stylishly orange, with butterflies... just in keeping with the kind of image i like to project on a first date Hmm

I just dont know what coat to wear,
practical but unattractive and shapless dog walking coat, helly hansen thing. Will keep me warm, and will have pockets for mobile phone, lip gloss, money, poo bags etc... ( nice!)

or something a bit nicer, but with no pockets, so will have to take a handbag for other stuff and then will look like a muppet.

This thread has really made me smile - happy for you! I hope things continue to go well. And wear those wellies with pride! :)

Meggles76 · 10/01/2011 20:41

This is such a feel good thread. Please keep us updated of how things go

cabbageroses · 10/01/2011 20:45

co- you didn't go out with my brother did you? I haven't heard from him for 3 weeks so anything is possible!

he always/often goes on dog walking dates- he is on the singles site Muddy Matches.

Oh- he doesn't have a house in Spain though, so can't be him! he does have a lovely black lab though.

tookoolforskool · 11/01/2011 11:14

It wasn't your brother.

But guess what

He asked me out again. I have a second date.

Will be back for advice when we have sorted where we are going.

Fuck me, how exciting is that?

This thread has brought a smile to my exhausted face.

Hope it all works out wonderfully for you.

tookoolforskool · 11/01/2011 13:00

mine too!!!

We are just going to the cinema and then probably drinks. on friday.

so skinny jeans. some boots with a heel. ( ive got some patent military style ones)
vest top ( fantastic boobs) and a long boyfriend cardigan ( to keep it casual)

yes?

OP posts:
traceybath · 11/01/2011 20:32

Yes indeed Smile

Nice scarf or necklace perhaps?

And if you have good legs/bum - perhaps a shorter cardigan Wink

tookoolforskool · 11/01/2011 21:08

I'm too booby to add bulk with a scarf. I tend to wear very chunky bracelets ( or several) and a chunky ring, so I always think a necklace is too much with that.

I have good legs and bum but a boyfriend cardigan, thin one, not wool. Sort of falls outside my boobs, then in at my waist and creates a nice, and slightly simmer shape.

Plus its just the cinema, I don't want to look dressed up or like I'm trying too hard. He's not that kind of bloke either.
