Sorry about my earlier rant. That sil drives me crazy!

Just wanted to stop in before our guests arrive to wish you all a very merry Christmas. I'm very pleased and lucky to have spent 2010 in the company of such lovely women.

I hope Zembo you have a safe trip and lovely, rejuvenating time in Bangladesh. Vin I hope you have a nice Christmas with ds. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow sending you a smile. Bloss hope you're feeling much better and have a great time tonight.

Tracey I am doing Eurotrash proud and am wearing black pleathers (again) with a long leopard print silk blouse and leopard print loafers alla WIT from Zara. Red lipstick and dp just laughed out loud when he saw me. In a good way he saidHmm - dd said I look like Christmas. Big waves and air kisses to all the other lovelies.

Best rush. Have fun bellissime and Buon Natale.

MM Wink

Hello All, am half way up the A1 on our way to ILs.

Just wanted to say Merry Christmas to you all and thanks for letting me join in on such a great thread.

Hope Santa is good to you Smile.

VerityBrulee · 24/12/2010 19:27

Enjoying a lull in activity while dc watch a movie. Dh and I did our best to exhaust them by making them trudge through knee deep snow in the park to the shops. Most years they are so over excited they can't get to sleep, so fingers crossed our plan will work! Need an early night myself as we were up at 5am last Christmas Day Hmm and I still have to finish wrapping their presents. That's the trouble with starting shopping in Sept, by Dec I've forgotten lots of the things I've bought and they end up with sooo much.

Anyway, I was a credit to this thread yesterday. Having lusted after these Nicole Farhi boots since last August I was determined to get them in the sale. I finally got an email about the sale on weds night, so I was ready for battle yesterday. Rang Brown Thomas to be sure they had my size, donned multiple layers and went out in the blizzard. Taxi skidded and I had to abandon it and walk, got into the shop and they only had 36 in brown. Back on with the layers, walked to the tram, out to the suburbs to House of Fraser, knee deep snow from the station to the shop, toes so cold I couldn't get them into the boots, but ladies, I got them Grin Most people I know in RL would think me crazy, but I know you'll understand!

Wishing you all a fabulous, joyous Christmas, as MM has said you have all be fantasic company in 2010 Smile See you back here on Sunday to ponder the sales!

notyummy · 24/12/2010 19:55

OWW - can't believe your MIL!!

Verity - Yes we understand!

Pickled - Hope the A1 was ok!

Loving the sound of the Christmas eve traditions.

We have had a great Xmas eve. managed a run this morning with DH whilst Mum and Dad played snakes and ladders with dd. Cinema trip, followed by mum and I taking dd to childrens church service whilst Dh and dad went to the pub. Mum has just done massive curry, and dd having stories with DH, having put out mince pies/carrots/stocking. Checked where Santa is on the Norad tracker. Did anyone else watch that Disney/Pixar thing 'Prep and Landing' on Channel 4 earlier? Soooo funny and Christmassy. We all loved it!

Time to chill out with a glass of wine now.

Hope you all have fabulous Christmases!

LetThemEatCake · 24/12/2010 20:49

a very merry and, of course, fantastically stylish, Christmas to you all!

thanks for all helping to make this last year so enjoyable.

am so annoyed. Dh bought me this lurex jumper for my birthday. Love it, wore it out last night ... removed the "returns will not be accepted without this tag" label and .... immediately spotted a whacking great hole in the back!!! Fortunately my drycleaner does great repairs so it will be fine, but ugh, annoying. And it's reduced now too.

also ... definitely call off the search for the perfect LRD ...since I now have 3. Blush The one esher gifted me, fabulous. The P&J one, as seen on vin, hells and, in black on tracey - delicious. And now... this HH number which is fabulous and I can't part with. But I am sure that more than one of you said they would fulfil different needs in my wardrobe?? So it's okay, right....???

Got topshop pleathers for b'day too but took them back same day without even trying on again. Blush Don't need them and couldn't feel the right level of love.

anyway, me me blah blah. Bit pisht after a day with ILS (not that they drink, so I've been making up for lost and wasted time)

have wonderful happy healthy days with your loved and not so loved ones.

Big mwah. Must go and start wrapping presents, seat of pants, moi?

bunnymother · 24/12/2010 20:51

oooh wise and wonderful ladies, wishing you the most magical of Christmases! You really are all darlings! And I am not even drunk . Hope the big man in red brings you lovely, decadent gifts and you have charming days w your loved ones!

VinoNavegado · 24/12/2010 20:52

VinoNavegado · 24/12/2010 20:58

LTEC I haven't wrapped anything yet. Have decided not to get P anything this year though as I will have nothing to open tomorrow and he hasn't been 'a good boy this year' ho ho ho. I do have DS giving me huge smiles though which is better than a thousand presents, I have all of you lovely lot which is priceless.... and I may have nipped into space nk today after work and got them to giftwrap some 'surprises' for me- how sad is that Grin hurrah

MM- you are so stylish while pregnant!!

ReineDeSaba · 25/12/2010 01:54

Happy Christmas Lovely Ladies.

Thank you for sharing all your style and life tips this year..you are all amazing.

looking forward to seeing what you all nab in the sales Grin

Zembo · 25/12/2010 06:37

Happy Christmas everyone!! Hope you all have a lovely day. We don't celebrate at all and I love how quiet it is outside on Xmas day (good for travelling to the airport)Smile

Verity completely understand re: the boots, really pleased for you.

Vin who needs any other presents when you have your gorgeous DS to spend the day with. I get very few presents which is why I tend to treat myself everyday Grin I hope next year bring you a lot of happiness.

Also heartfelt thanks to all of you lovely ladies for your support and friendship during the last year. I feel so lucky to be part of the A&W thread Smile

AllBuggiedOut · 25/12/2010 07:38

Stockings opened, second coffee on the go, all happy. Have a good one ladies, and enjoy your outfits Grin

OllieWollieWoo · 25/12/2010 07:57

Happy Christmas! Hope you all have a lovely day wherever you may be. I've so enjoyed your company this year and long may it continue!

Boys have opened their stockings to many ooo's and ahhh's - so cute. Off to church later (will have to make sure that the runaway bugs that were in the stockings do not come with us!).

blossoming · 25/12/2010 09:48

Happy Christmas everyone!
I hope you all have a lovely peaceful day with your loved ones.
Hilda did me proud with the chapel flowers: a gorgeous display of bay, eucalyptus, red berries and pink roses. They've been dispatched!
Still so very cold here with freezing fog. Have to warn people to use the back door because of the ferocious looking icicles and the ice at the front. A bit of a worry for tomorrow with 3 old people, and sil with baby.
I'm making Phil Vickery from This Morning's turkey recipe. Cooks in 2 hours (worried emoticon)!
I have no appetite at all after my sausage rolls yesterday!

Just to add to the general consensus that I feel very lucky to be part of this thread and I have been overwhelmed by your support throughout the year. I shall raise a glass now later to all of you lovely people and especially to ltec for making it all happen. I look forward to meeting you all next year.

Iechyd da a Nadolig Llawen!

PlumSykes · 25/12/2010 10:07

Morning!

Brief lull while DH takes the DCs to collect my mum. Stocking were a roaring success, and no-one awake until 7am-hurrah!

Best Christmas love to you all, see you tomorrow eve, when I get back from eating poor quality pasrty with the inlaws (you know, the racist ones.). Now, must hoover! x

notyummy · 25/12/2010 19:56

Merry Christmas all!! Had a really lovely Christmas-and must thank those who recommended the Corolle doll, which has gone down a storm. She is currently curled up with my mum listening to her read 'Milly Molly Mandy' stories. I just eavesdropped on her on the bath having a 'chat' to God and thanking Him for 'all the lovely presents and food'. So sweet!

notyummy · 25/12/2010 19:59

Really hope you get away ok this time Zembo.

And to you all - thanks for sharing- and for your wisdom and laughter.

hellsbelles · 25/12/2010 20:11

Zembo - hope you got there safely.

I had no sleep last night...not a wink - DH's snoring and then DS coming down from 3am on the hour to check if it was 'wake up time' yet. However despite that I felt fine Confused if a little tired.

Great day - but now too tired to do anything but blow kisses to you all and wish you a happy christmas. we are off the in-laws t/m so you'll get peace from me for a few days.

eshermummy · 25/12/2010 22:38

Just popping in quickly to wish you all a very happy Christmas. Hope you have all had lovely days Smile

Just back from my parents' house sans dd's as they are tucked up in bed at theirs! So having a little rest and a well earned good night's sleep to night before heading back over in the morning!

Like everyone else, I have so enjoyed the thread over the past year and even meeting (some of) you even more so Smile

Bonsoir · 26/12/2010 08:51

Happy Belated Christmas! I was far too busy slaving -away in the kitchen-- with my family yesterday to get anywhere near technology - it was lots of fun, and my parents and all their grandchildren had a great time, which is the most important part of Christmas!

hf128219 · 26/12/2010 11:42

Wishng you all a very, very Happy Christmas!

May your silver glistened, your crackers banged, the food sizzled and the children's faces full of delight.

Xmas Smile
Fleecy · 26/12/2010 11:58

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

zembo hope you got away smoothly yesterday.

Have been too busy with sick children followed by parties and family gatherings and am now enjoying a PJ day at home.

Have bought the red P&J dress in the net-a-porter sale but missed out on the camel suede with gold leopard print Mulberry pouch I wanted it's this print but the Bayswater pouch. Going to call local House of Fraser later and see if they still have any. It will look perfect with the dress... Grin

Mumsnut · 26/12/2010 12:12

H'mmm. Was tempted by a leopard print calfskin bayswater in the sale but afraid it will be dated within a week. Waddya all think?
